I'm pretty happy the Bulls landed #2. Now they will either get Tyrus Thomas or L.Aldridge. I prefer Aldridge b/c the Bulls are in desperate need of Size

I was going to ask you who you would want out of the 2 since chaces are they will both be available since the Raptors really don't need a 4 with Bosh and Villenaueva both on board. I think the better player pick for the Bulls would be Thomas though. Even though I could see Algridge having a better rookie year, Thomas has the potential to be a star with his freakish athletic ability and a decent jumper with which work he could develop into a consistent one. Whereas with Aldrige I see him becoming a good pro, but not a great one. It's kinda like with Okafor and Howard and I liken Okafor to Aldrige and Thomas to Howard.
My Rockets stayed at 8 and If I had it my way we would get Brandon Roy. But I fear he may be gone. If that's the case a guy like Carney would also be nice. Also with the news that the Clipps will be inclined to ship Maggette to make room for Radmanovich and Cassell I would think long and hard about possibly shipping that 8th pick for him. Maggette when healthy is an outstanding wing player with a great combonation of size and spped. He can put the ball on the floor and finish strong near the rim, has a solid post game which is aided by his size, and he has a good shot with 3 point range but tends to be more of a streaky 3 point shooter. But the problem is that he has been injured in the past and spent about 50 or so games this season injured so he is a risk. Now if Roy is gone before we are up at the 8th spot the trade looks more enticing, but if he is available at 8 Roy would be a great complement to McGrady on the wing and is good enough defensivley to gaurd the oppositions best wing player letting McGrady take it easy on the defensive end.

I look at it as Aldrige is the safer of the 2 picks. While Thomas has more upside he really only came on to the national spotlight during the tourny. At the beginning of the year he wasnt even considered a draft pick. I like Thomas but he is really not what the Bulls need. They need a guy that can offset Chandler in the paint and I dont think Thomas will provide that. I think he has more upside than Aldrige though so I wouldnt be dissapointed if they drafted him.
Aldrige on the other hand is that low post presense and size that the Bulls are desperatly lacking. They get little to no point production from the pait. Chandler is 7'2 but he is no threat on offense. LA I think would compliment him nicely since he is at worst a good defender and rebounder w/ the potential for a good offensive game.
The Bulls have the 2nd or third most cap room so they might be able to fill the low Post need through FA'cy but the last time I checked there really wasnt anybody out there that was worth anything. Ben Wallace is a FA but hes staying in Detroit. Nazr is all right, Przyilla is out there but I really dont like him, and Nene and Gooden are over rated. The Bulls will prob land Al Harrington since they have been verbally blowing each other in the media for the whole season :) He'll be a good addition.
Another thing to keep in mind is that its a good possibility that the Bulls might package the pick in a trade to land someone

Here's a mock draft with the Bulls taking:
#2: Andrea Bargnani 6-11 240 PF Italy 1985
#16: JJ Redick 6-4 190 SG Duke Sr.
I think the Bulls could take a risk like Bargnani, if they can find immediate help at PF in FA, but Aldridge is the better pick if he falls.
Also, I don't think Redick should go any higher than 16.
I'm a Cavs fan so I'm hoping for Josh Boone at 25 and Gerry McNamara in the late 2nd. G-mac could even be a UDFA. Surround Lebron with guys that are smart and play hard.

I'd be real happy if the Bull landed JJ at 16 but Bargnani is the one out of the top 3 that I dont want

Not looking good for you landing Roy
He seems to be high on a lot of teams list and I guess is in the Bulls top 3 w/ TT and LA. Some have said that he is the player Paxson really wants

8 is looking to be a little too low of a spot to get Roy. I got to watch the Huskies during the tournament and he tore it up. The game they got eliminated in against UConn was probaly his best game of the year. He truly has an all around game and can step in right away and contribute as a starter. The only knock on him is that he dosen't do one thing great but that's not to bad because he does everything really good. The one thing that may hurt him and hopefully have him fall to the Rockets at 8 is that he is not a flashy player and if a couple guys put on spectacular workouts, he could slip.
Morrison, Thomas, and Aldrige should be the top three. Then I got to hope any combination of that dude from Italy, O'Bryant, Marcus Williams, Carney, Rudy Gayy, Ronnie Brewer and Sheldon Williams go 4-7 leaving Roy at 8.
