thought it totally sums up the Sabres team as whole-

''I thought I had him under control but he surprised me,'' said Alfredsson. ''He made a great play.''

Just my thoughts for now.
Gotta finish my beer, and crash out.
What a great win tonite!

ROCK EM SABRES

Yup. Especially for a guy who supposedly can't skate. Go Poms!

Pretty much, it's just an example of the other team not expecting a guy who isn't Briere or Drury to beat them.

That quote says a lot more about Alfredsson than it does about Pominville.

Alfredsson is a great player but he looked far from it most of the series

i will never understand how alfredsson let him go by, christ take the penalty if you have to, but you can't let that happen, I wonder if he just froze?

Wheres Redden with the help knowing that Alfredson is on the other side?

I think the Sens were way too cocky with all of their "talent" and never thought the Buffalo Sabres would come into their Arena and win all 3.... ahhahahahah I love this team

It's a perfect example of how Alfredson, the Senators, and pretty much everyone in the NHL underestimates how good the Sabres are.

Most of the hockey press isn't talking about what a great team the Sabres are...they're asking "What went wrong?" for the Senators. What went wrong is they were unlucky enough to face Buffalo in the 2nd round.

It will take a Stanley Cup win to finally drive home the fact that the Buffalo Sabres are one hell of a TEAM. Suits me just fine. :)

It's funny because Ottawa has managed to blow so many playoff series in the past 10 years. I think they have never been to the Stanley Cup finals and have been in the playoffs for a long time now.

Well... time for them to start dealing with goalie issues and having to re-sign Redden (don't bother), Chara (try to sign him), and Phillips (if the price is right)... who else are big name free agents for them coming up?

The Sabres are a fighting team. Another good quote I heard sometime over the week is that the Sabres are too young, hungry, and determined to be scared in the playoffs. Lindy Ruff said it in some interview. It really is the X factor for the Sabres. Their overall team unity and essence is what makes them good.

Thats what i was thinking, it wasn't all alfies fault. Redden could of easily hit the puck but every1 stood still besides pominville.
