afini/egenov, is so afraid to get hit that as soon as he gets the puck he gets rid of it, leading to two crucial turnovers last night
the defensemen are making big mistakes with the puck knowing that a flyer is going to come in and finish a check.
the sabres are trying to go hit for hit with the flyers instead of going around them
while the flyers defense is big and slow, they do a great job of keeping the front of esche, where he gives up his big fat rebounds, clear of players
I may be grasping at straws, but that's what I've seen in the last two games

The physicality of Gaustad/Pyatt/Grier took a toll yesterday. Philly is in deep doo-doo when they can't skate with the Sabres and can't hit with the Sabres. All they have left is to goon.

It's taking its toll on the Flyers.
They are worn out as it is from chasing the Sabres and they are only adding to their fatigue to go out of the way to deliver "big" hits.

Any hard-fought series is going to take it's toll. Sometimes the mental toll can be worse than the physical toll.
I think that both teams want it bad enough that they will deal with whatever they need to. Both teams are going to give it all they have. Philly is a proud team and is not going to go down without a fight -- no matter how hurt/tired/mad they are.

In game 4 you hit the nail right on the head, but in game 5 i disagree. I thought the sabres avoided the big hit most of the game and used their speed to make the Flyers chase them around.

They are going to come out at 110% effort.
Whoever wants it more will get it.
The better team will win.
Can't let a sleeping dog lie.
They have to find a way to put the puck in the net.
They're getting beaten to the puck.
They've got to go back and re-group.
They're still hanging around.
And many more! (http://www.sportscliche.com/)

I dont agree with the fact that the Sabres defenseman and Afinogenov are afraid to be hit, thats what hockey is, they wouldnt be playing in the NHL if they were afraid to get hit.
Yeah Philly is playing physical hockey but the turnovers are a direct result of being afraid to make a mistake, all these guys know that every game is a crucial game in the playoffs especially all the young players we have, some of them may be afraid to hold on to the puck and are dumping it off quickly where as the great players like lets say Forsberg shine, even with the Sabres keeping a close eye on him he still managed to score what 8 points in the first 4 games

See where their physical play gets them? a first round exit! Their physical style isn't suited to the new NHL. They're always out of position going for big hits, and they're getting tons of penalties called on them because they're not fast enough!

You're in the driver's seat.
For a pivotal game 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, or 7

Bluetubist has got a lot of jam to his game.
He brings his hard-hat and lunchpail every night.
He leaves it out there on every shift.
