Obviously this is very far featched but I am trying to make sense of how luninspired they have played the last 2 games. In a 7 game series the Sabres would have 4 home games which would help the Sabres bottom line.
Some specific reasons I think this way are:
1. The Roy penalty shot. What was that? Was he even trying to get a shot on net??
2. All the giveaways. I have never seen the Sabres give the puck away so much and specifically in flyers zone. This is basic stuff. What are they thinking.
3. Slow pace to the games. Did we just forget how to skate? We seem to be skating with the flyers instead of past them.
4. Soft goals by Miller. We have seen him play bad at times but some of those shots were just terrible.
5. Powerplay. What is with all this standing around on our powerplay? No movement and no shots getting through. Cant be just good penalty killing.
Again, this is very far fetched but sometimes when certain things happen it really makes you think. We should be rolling over these guys and instead we are letting them dictate the games. Maybe I am looking too much into things.
