View Full Version : What pick would make you want to put your foot through your TV?

What player, position, or trade, if the Bills made Saturday at #8 (out of the quite reasonable possibilities), would make you start screaming for Marv's head, vomit all over the TV, and make you want to violate the TOS here?

I think I'd feel that way if they traded away next year's first just to acquire another late 1st rounder or early 2nd.

Chad Jackson haha

Honestly, I'd be ok with any of the picks we've been rumored to pick....Huff, Bunckly, Ngata, Justice or even Cutler....

But out of those, Cutler would my least favorite but greated intrigue....interesting how that works out.

Justice. 50-50 chance he doesn't last with his original team as long as Mike Williams lasted with the Bills.

V.Davis the tight end. We have an okay situation at TE and Everett (a second rounder) has not been able to show his stuff yet. If Davis falls to #8, we should trade down and get extra picks. We still should get a good DT or OT with the resultant pick. I would even be happy with getting a lower 1st rounder this year and a NEXT years #1.

I would be upset if the Bills took Winston Justice. I wouldn't be happy if they took Huff but I would be that upset.

Foot through the TV would be Jay Cutler.

Cutler or any scenario where next year's # 1 is dealt. If we want to draft a QB, it should be Croyle in the second round.

Vernon Davis, because every Ranger is in love with this guy when we don't need a TE. I'd throw myself off a building.

yup. I want nothing less than a game changing defender or Vernon Davis which would benefit our offense way more than D'Brick. dumping#8 cash on an OLINE is crazy. We built around Bruce not around Hull.

That's foolish. I'll throw rocks at Paul Tagliabue (yes, I'll be at the draft) if we DON'T draft AJ Hawk and he's there. Fletcher is out next year. AJ Hawk can be a Brian Urlacher/Ray Lewis hybrid MLB. How can you pass that up? It's not about immediate need necessarily when there's a future all pro falling into your lap.

TD, give Sukie back his screen name, or everyone will start wearing bags over their avatars again.

We built around Bruce AND Hull AND Wolford AND Dre AND TT, etc, etc.

The difference changer your talking about on D will probably go to NO or the Jets. Vernon Davis would be tough to pass up, and if he fell, I'd be either selling him for a trade down, (no less than an additional 2nd would do it) or I'd take him. Too good of an athlete to pass up unless you're getting 2 pretty good athletes in return.

If he and Brick both fell, it'd be tough, but there is 0% chance of both falling to 8.

Winston Justice would just perturb me to no end at 8 or even with a trade down. I just don't like anything I've read about his attitude, toughness, off-field demeanor etc.
He is talented, but so are a lot of guys who turn out to be busts.

Michael Huff wouldn't really upset me, but 8 seems high for a safety to me.

A lot of guys who would bum me out at 8 would be just fine with me, if we trade down and acquire an extra 2nd or 3rd round pick.

Trading up to select Jay Cutler. That would kill me. Can't think of any other reasonable scenario that I'd call a disaster.

Maybe trading down and taking a guy with a Mel Kiper 2nd round grade in the top 15. I don't like being laughed at.

If Matt Leinart were to fall to 8 and we didn't take him, that would probably be the ultimate blunder. I don't expect him to be there.

Bunk head Bunkley needs to be the pick.

Your kidding right? Buffalo's biggest woe is stopping the run. Ngata is by far the best run stopper in this draft bar none! If we trade down 4 or 6 picks and get Bunkley I would be satisfied. Evaluating Bunkley and Ngata is pretty even. They are similar in speed and strength, but Ngata is taller, and bigger with a longer reach. Ngata also has tremendous upside while Bunkley really cant get much better than what you already see.

I Just dont want to waste the pick on a QB. DT is what we seriously need with our 1st pick and if we can land Max Gills (Guard) with the second round pick I would feel our lines would be no longer a weakness.

Fact is the Bills need not just one DT but two! We only have 2 DT's on our roster right now. All DT's need to be rested during the game. Ngata is gonna be a great DT but he is not gonna be able to play at a high level for the entire game. Big guys on defense tire out if you play them every down. Rotating DT's is the way to go.
Although Ngata really is not fat, he is just a big farm boy! Paint him Green and he could be the Jolly Green Giant
