As much as I've dismissed the chance until now, I'm starting to think we've actually got a shot at Ferguson. ESPN Insider is saying the Jets are really high on Leinart, and hoping he slips by Tennessee. They also say Tennessee is still deciding between Young and Leinart, but are leaning heavily to Young. The only pick that would screw it up if this comes to pass is Oakland at 7, but they just took Gallery 2 season ago, and they are moving him to left tackle, according to reports.

Leaving Ferguson to us. Also, Dick Jauron is in love with the guy, and wants Marv to trade up to get him or Hawk.

So it would fall like this:

1. Hou: Bush
2. N.O.: Williams
3. Tenn: Young
4. Jets: Leinart
5. G.B.: Hawk (apparently they are settled on Williams, Hawk, or Davis, another ESPN Insider tip...)
6. S.F.: Vern Davis (and Hawk if G.B. takes Davis, another "put it in pen" due to the fact they turned down a Broncos trade offer to move to the 6th spot)
7. Oakland: Huff/Cutler/Ferguson?
8. Buffalo: Ferguson

The more I read (of course, most is b.s., but they're being reported on ESPN, so better sources I can't find) leads me to believe we have a shot at Ferguson...a do-over from that which we dare not speak of--Mike Williams.

I would LOVE it if we could get D'brick without trading up...however it is highly likely. I would not count on it whatsoever, but if it did happen I would be thrilled.

Also, I don't think that the titans will take young before Leinart, especially with Chow running the show

where did you see that Jauron wants marv to trade up?

Same article, on ESPN Insider. Unfortunately (in my opinion), it also says Marv wants to stand pat or move down for more picks.

That article also said Jauron loves Hawk, so he's begging Marv to trade up for one of the two (Hawk and Ferguson.)

I think D'Brick is gone to the Saints at 2

If Brick is there at #8, we take him and thumb our nose at people begging for us to trade down.

trading up isn't that easy.....why would any team that could get hawk or brick trade down?

Maybe be Joe Ferguson! Brick is long gone by five.
