I was just watching the ESPN draft special.
They said Bunkley is the right fit for our defense. Kiper really talked up his athelticism. Says he will be a great addition to Larry Tripplet.
I am into that pick.
I also love the Reyes signing.

You never know, the media is not going to determine our pick...I have heard so many different possibly picks that I don't know what to believe, and Kiper himself has been switching constantly...the truth is we gotta wait till draft day, I have a feeling that its someone marv and others have not been talking about much...almost a secret

I totally agree, I actually started a thread about that in the war room. In a few hours we'll find out

Overall: Bunkley tore the ACL in his left knee in high school. He played in eight games as a reserve NT during his true freshman season in 2002 before tearing the MCL in his left knee. He started three of the 13 games he played as a sophomore in 2003. He was arrested in January of 2003 for petty theft (stole a video game from Wal-Mart) and was forced to pay a fine and complete 16 hours of community service. He moved into the starting lineup at NT during his junior season in 2004 but he missed two games (Syracuse and Wake Forest) because of an ankle injury and wound up finishing with just 12 tackles, three TFL and one sack. He started all 13 games as a senior in 2005 and finished with 66 tackles, 25 TFL and nine sacks. Bunkley is one of the fastest ascending prospects in ...
those injuries scare me.

So what that tells me is as you last stated - What player are we getting??? The great one year wonder or the injury riddled player that is the ole wouldve couldve shouldve. Is that worth #8 - no maybe second round or late first but not top 10. Huff or Hawk would be fine, Cutler fine and just not sold on Ngata - someone that big just cant play that long without getting injured and again how many top 10 picks ( I dont know) have actully been great DT players???

Injury riddled? He had an ACL injury in high school and an ankle injury in college. That's not injury riddled.
Rather than call him a one hit wonder I would rather call him a player that worked throughout his college career, learned from his mistakes and came on this past year like a freight train. His tackles for a loss stats are unprecidented.
Has anyone seen his combine stats? He is a beast. A true athlete in great shape. There was a reason we dumped Sam Adams remember?
