According to the rankings they'd have to give up thier third and #11 to get the #8

I'd ask for T.Holt :)
Seriously though I'd do it for there 2nd rounder in a heartbeat and for there 3rd I'd have to think about it

They have the 11th pick...
The 8th pick is worth around 1400pts according to the value chart... and the 11th pick is worth 1250. So thats a difference of 150 pts.
The Rams' 3rd round pick(#77 overall) is worth 205pts...
So if you traded down to 11... and picked up their 3rd rounder... you would be winning on that trade by about 55pts...
You wont get a 2nd though... their 2nd is worth 440pts...

That would be perfect for a 2 or a 3. That would still give us an shot at Bunk, Ngata or Justice. If St. L takes Cutler at 8 then we have a shot at least one if not 2 of them still available at the 11th pick.

Here is the one I have been using...
http://www.thehuddlereport.com/NickelPackage/tradevaluechart.htm
Bills 1st (1400) & 3rd (240) = 1640
Rams 1st (1250) & 2nd (440) = 1690
Comes out pretty close... and could go down...

I'd put a hold on trading this early. I've seen a couple mocks that have D'Brick falling to us (I know it would be a miracle). I would hate to see him fall and us not there to pick him up because we dropped down already.

Absolutely. I think this is a scenario that only takes place if someone major like Hawk or Brick doesn't fall to us.

Yeah, definitely a trade that would be made while the Bills are on the clock, not ahead of time.

Thats right we still have to get who we want and then only pull the trigger.Who do we really expect to get with that trade down who might be available?:shake:

Atleast one of the DTs will still be available at 11. Plus, Winston Justice might be there too (since I think 8 is a little high for him)...

You've been misinformed. He is the consensus #2 tackle in the draft... considered top 15... and then had an amazing Pro Day that has him rising even more...

justice has jumped into the top 10 with some scouts saying he's better than brick.

Well, I think your crazy then... but thats JMO... haha
D-Brick is the best pass blocking prospect I have seen in years. His footwork, technique and long arms make him a cant miss prospect in my eyes...
And I have concerns about WJ playing LT...

Now that I've thought about it
This is what I would do
If they want to make the trade before Saterday then it has to be for there 2nd rounder
If they want to make it during the draft then I would take there 3rd and they would have to say its for Cutler and or Young so then at the least either Huff, Ngata, or Bunk will be there at 11

This would be an awesome trade for the Bills, but it won't happen until we are on the clock.

Going to #11 and getting a #3 would be heaven.
One of Ngata, Justice, or Bunkley will be there for sure, maybe 2 of the 3.
Having 3 thirds would put us in a position to trade our 2nd and 3rd for a late Round 1 pick if a player we targeted fell into the 20s (McNeil, Hali, or one of the CBs?)

There also is some trade buzz regarding the Rams with the 11th overall selection. According to a source close to the situation, the Rams would consider moving back for the right deal, but only if quarterback Cutler is off the board. That obviously begs the question of how interested new head coach Scott Linehan truly is in Cutler. If the answer is very interested, the Rams might also be in the market to trade up a couple of spots to snatch Cutler ahead of the Cardinals, who are leaning toward Cutler at No. 10. As far as a trade-down partner is concerned for the Rams, I've been told Miami is one of the interested teams

The word is... is that we might be interested in trading up to get Huff if he is there at 11... but I dont think it will happen for 2 reasons...
1. We dont really have the ammunition to move up...
2. Huff wont be there at 11 anyway...

no such thing as a can't miss prospect. brick has all the athletic talent, but he needs to put on some weight and work on not standing up straight and getting bulled over, I hear. but he has the right attitude and is a high character guy.

There have been instances where teams have given up a second to move up three or fewer spaces in the first. For instance, the Browns gave the Lions their second rounder a few years back to move up one spot for Kellen Winslow.

I created a thread a few weeks ago, saying this would be the ideal team to trade with, assuming they like Cutler.
Either Huff, Bunkley, Ngata, or Justice are guaranteed to be there (most likely Bunkley), and we could probably scoop an extra 3rd in the process.

How about calling Arizona and tell them the Rams want to trade ahead of them for Cutler. We then make the trade with Arizona and get the #10 pick and their #3. Hopefully one of these 2 teams will bite.
