How much of an improvement do you think he'd be to our offense? If JP is the starter (which common sense says he is), how much better do you think he'll be this season with a solid LT protecting him? Or do you think the other holes on the line outweigh the benefits of solid right and left tackles?

Educated guess? You're right though, no one knows how a player will pan out in the NFL. Hypothetically speaking, however, if D'Brickshaw were to be a solid starter in his rookie season, and if we were able to draft him, how much of an improvement to our offense do you think he'd be, specifically the QB position?

He alone would not make that much of a difference

The major problems w/ our OL are in the middle not the edges

Well, as Marv said in the press conference: "On the offensive line the one caution is he isn't going to do it this year very often. The offensive lineman is rarely going to be a quick fix unless he's a Tony Boselli or Anthony Munoz."

So unless the Brick looks really good in training camp, I don't think he will be much of a factor in his first year. If we would draft him, and he would be a solid LT, I tend to agree with Merk. It would depend more on the play in the middle.

He may not be an immediate Pro Bowler, but he would be an immediate improvement over Mike Gandy, and in the long term, he would be a huge addition to the Offense.

Nothing in this Offense works right now because the entire OL can't pass protect and the interior OL can't run block. Even with Moulds gone, I think we are pretty solid at the skill positions, provided that guys like Losman, Evans and McGahee are given adequate support from the OL.

Ferguson is the total package, and he even fits Marv's "character" prerequisite.

Of course, he's not going to be there anyway, but it would be a huge win for us if he was.

I'd be more keen to seeing the bills take Bunkley with their first pick. They need another DT badly. Then we could take a quality guard in the second like Spencer or Lutui who could step and start at LG.

If D'Brick is on the board (which he won't be) and the Bills take Bunkley, it would be a foolish move -- and very unpopular, I suspect. Yes, there is decent o-line depth in this draft, but D'Brick is more special at OT than Bunkley is at DT, imo. An OT will play all the time, a DT will be part of the rotation. Both lines, of course, need serious attention.

lololol

riiiiiigght

Lets see in 2005 Taylor had 2 sacks against the Bills and only 1 was against Gandy

He registered no sacks against the Bills in 2004

He registered 0 sacks in 2003 against Jennings. He did have 3 sacks in the December game but Jennings was injured

In 2002 he had no sacks in the 1st game and 2 in the 2nd which again Jennings was injured for

and in 2001 he had 2.5 sacks against the Bills but Jennings was a rookie and started on the right side

So in his time in Buffalo Jennings never allowed a sack to Taylor and Gandy only allowed one.
