Jennings was an awesome pick! We got great production from him, especially for a third rounder. I also think Flowers was worse than Williams. Mike had one descent season at Right Tackle. Flowers did nothing!

I remember reading that Erik liked to play Madden football in his scouting report.

Jennings had too many health issues to be called a decent pick. SF is now finding that out.

My criteria for being on my "best" list is finding a diamond in the rough. Therefore I was looking for later round picks who have had successful NFL careers. It is easy to pick the 1st round talents. To be on my "best" list
we had to do a lot of scouting to find these guys.

(1) Jay Remersma-7th round 1996-What more can you ask of a 7th round pick. He provided depth until he was given a chance and was a solid starter for a number of years.

(2) Bryce Fisher-7th round 1999-Had to fulfill military requirement and took some time to develop but he eventually became a solid pro and last year signed a big contract with Seattle. He put in a lot of hard work and it is good to see him succeed.

(3) Terrence McGee-4th round 2003-Pro Bowl return man and solid NFL starting cb. Great find in the 4th round.

(4) Jonas Jennings-3rd round 2001-A starter from day 1. Usually 3rd round picks, especailly o-linemen, take time to develop. His big free agent pay day proves he is has made it in this league.

(5) Duke Preston(hopefully)-4th round 2005-Lets hope he pans out and is a mainstay on this line. We need him to continue to develop and solve our long term linemen problems.

To make my "worst" list the player had to have been a high draft pick with high expectations.

(1) Mike Williams-1st round 2002-On his best day he was average. On his worst day he was horrible. Not acceptable for the #4 pick in the draft. Totally set the organization back with this pick.

(2) Erik Flowers-1st round 2000-Never showed an tallent at all. What a mistake. This is why teams shouldn't draft players strictly on their workouts.

(3) Ryan Denney-2nd round 2002-He is a role player and a decent back up but we traded up for this guy. I expected much more from him.

(4) Travares Tillman-2nd round 2000-I could list the entire 2000 draft on this list but Tillman is here because he was picked in the 2nd round. A truely ordinary player.

(5) Coy Wire-3rd round 2002-A good special team player but more is expected from a 3rd round pick. Never made the transition from lb to ss, never will.

Jonas Jennings does not belong on the best list. Too many injuries.

Willis is not an elite Back, and if he ever becomes one, he has the TURD for a Agent and will be gone, Time for a back, that does not fall down when sneezed upon....

Henry was a 2nd round pick and we got 4 good years including 2 over 1300 yds & 10 tds. He played through injuries. And yes he has a drug problem.
W Magahee was 1st rd pick and we got 3 alright years out of him. With his declaration himself one of the best RBs in NFL should be enough to put him in NFL Drug program.

TH had a better line while here than Willis has had.

We have not had a good oline in 10 years. They basically ran behind similar lines but Travis had more heart and will power to be more successful.

I am not saying T Henry is great but am talking draft value if we are talking about best and worst picks. Willis has yet to show what he had in college and this guy has to show more heart and willingness to fight through injury.

I have to disagree....The line Henry ran behind was 10 times better than the one Willis is running behind.......the Line Henry ran behind was good enough to give Bledsoe a chance to throw the ball.

Also Willis has only been playing for 2 years not 3......and most running backs have a 2nd year slump.

Ricky's first years in Miami:

2002 Miami Dolphins Yards: 1853
2003 Miami Dolphins Yards: 1372

Curtis Martin:

1995 New England Patriots Yards: 1487
1996 New England Patriots Yards: 1152

Shaun Alexander:

2001 Seattle Seahawks Yards: 1318
2002 Seattle Seahawks Yards: 1175

I rest my case.

What case did you rest? Both backs ran behind same line. How was that a a better line? Both ran behind TD's mistakes of olinemen.
In the comparison to Martin and Alexander, Willis doesn't have half the heart those two and ability that they have.
And Willis has been on the team 3 years we had to wait for his bum knee injury to heal his first year. What a waste of a year on a 1st rd pick.

They did NOT run behind the same line thats the point Im trying to make.

Bledsoe had ten times more time and he was a statue....Losman who is actually mobile had no time at all.....Its hard for Willis to do much when the Coach is only calling his number 5 times a game.

You are absolutely wrong. The line Travis ran behind was the same line as Willis. Name a olineman that T Henry had that Willis didn't have. Both had Fat Mike and the scrubs. Point being neither line had any real talent. After the second half of Bledsoe's first season teams realized how bad our line was and blitz him all the time. Henry made plays and Willis made excuses.

My point is Willis was a 1st rd pick and isn't even a top 15 back in year 3. Travis was always a top 10 back until drugs got in his way. Better pick better value. Thank You
