This years Chris Gratton/Micheal Grosek award nominee? Taylor Pyatt. For those unware, the CG/MG Award is awarded to the player who floats through the regular season, only to come out of nowhere and be the straw that breaks the flyers back in the 1st round of the playoffs, only to be traded off by Darcy Regier 2 seasons later for a kings ransom. Lets hope that he can live up to his potential, at least for one series. Taylor, did we mention the award comes with a pretty new purse…..

You could say Dumont as well. He has tailed off lately and he should be a guy that Lindy will lean on come playoff time. Playing with Briere, he should be dominant.

Dumont is a solid nominee, but he has contributed much more than Grosek or Gratton ever did in the regular season.

Pyatt is one of the keys to playoff success for the Sabres.
