Sabres Head Coach Lindy Ruff thanked Western New Yorkers for their thoughts and prayers. Ruff's 11 year-old daughter Madeleine underwent surgery this week.
Mike Gilbert, the team's Public Relations Director, made the following statement following before the Sabres took on the Carolina Hurricanes.
"The Buffalo Sabres announced today that doctors performed surgery Tuesday in a Buffalo hospital on head coach Lindy Ruff's daughter, Madeleine, to remove a tumor from her brain.
Madeleine is resting comfortably and recovering from surgery and everyone is looking forward to a speedy recovery. The Ruff family and the Buffalo Sabres organization thank their many fans and friends for their continued support and prayers."
Last night, Lindy Ruff personally thanked Western New Yorkers for their support.
