After finishing second in the downhill, Miller took home the title for the last Super G of the season.
I wonder what training program he went on to go from 'completley out of shape' to world class condition in three weeks...

embarassing yourself, and your country, at the olympics in front of the world isn't OK because you win some other race nobody gives a shit about

Actually, a lot of people do 'give a shit' about skiing, it's an extremely popular sport in many countries.
You don't 'give a shit' about it because ESPN hasn't told you to 'give a shit' about it. Nobody cared about poker until ESPN decided that it would tell people to like it. And now they do.
I love the fact the irony that exudes from your post completely flies over your head. It's better that way.
"They're basing their entire hate mail and judgment on the opinion of one journalist, who's never even been to a ski race and doesn't know anything about what they're writing about. I hooked a knee in the super-G at the Olympics because I was skiing really aggressively and that easily could have happened today. I think that's where the confusion was at the Olympics. A lot of people just don't know the sport that well." - Bode Miller

ESPN...funny.... I haven't watched ESPN, or any other sports TV aside from live games in a long long time.....
But keep believing that Bode Miller is important, and that skiing is important...it makes you different, and very very interesting...

Congratulations... There was no 'Olympic Experience' at the events for him to party at, I imagine. Now we can all forget him again. YIPPEE! :hissyfit:
