To the draft gurus:

Now that we're in the market for a DT again, would you be willing to trade down, pick up an extra 2nd rounder, and take a chance on someone like Gabe Watson?

I don't get to watch alot of the Big 10 anymore, so I've only seen him a few times, and he didn't leave a lasting impression one way or the other. (most pure run stuffers don't).

On the other hand, if you watch the video Admarc put up (which was supposed to highlight the interior OL, he dominates Mangold, Luiti (sp.) and Davin Joseph, 3 of the up and coming interior OL in the draft.

His benching by Lloyd Carr is well known. My question is, for people that watch Michigan alot, how did he come back after the benching? Did he play with any fire, or was it the same old, same old?

Would you hope that your DL coach can keep a fire lit under him and take the chance (keeping in mind that you have an extra 2nd round pick as a hedge), or does the Mike Williams fiasco scare you off?

My impressions of Watson are that if he could have played w/ any type of consistency in college he would have been considered a top 10 pick and the number 1 DT on the board. When he played up to his potential in some games he proved to be flat out unstopable. He has a ton of talent and should go somwhere in the late first early second

He was impressive at the senior bowl but the question is whether it was money that motivated him though that or not.

I'm not sure he fits what the Bills are looking for in the other DT posistion to play over the center. He is a Sam Adams type. But w/ his upside and if he is there w/ the latter of our 2 second round picks(if thats what we aquire) then I think he would be worth a shot b/c of his potential upside
