Can you IMAGINE if G-Mac were to hit ANOTHER game winning 3 tonight? It would be one of the greatest stories in sports, yet alone SU hoops. The GMAC media coverage has already been insane, I can't even imagine if he does it again. It will make him a legend of epic proportions!

Gmac is on the cover every major newspaper in new york this morning.

Getting college sports on the cover is a tough thing to do down there.

Gross' plan all along was to make syracuse NYC's team, in spite of St. Johns. looks like we're well on our way. this can only help recruiting.

There are some talks that there will be a contract that will be struck soon between the new Mets Network (SportsNet New York), which by the way launches next thursday, and Syracuse University.

All we're missing is St. John's and we have the "vintage big east" Semi's tonight.  This is the event tonight to be at in the city. 'Cuse/G'town and 'Nova/Pitt, does it get any better?

The garden was absolutely crazy yesetrday.  I had some friends that were there for both sessions and said the night session was nothing like the afternoon.

Although I think Syracuse will have the strongest fan base tonight, gtown, pitt, and nova will have a ton of fans also...i don't think it's going to be as a decided advantage as we all thing.  Either way - I can't wait...the garden is going to be absolutely rocking tonight.  If you're a real fan of any of these teams and don't live to far away, i think it would be a crime not to be there.

When Gerry steps on that court tonight - the chants will start....what a great venue for the big east tournament...i can't think of a better place to have it.

'Cuse will be LUCKY to stay in the game tonight.

That's an odd thing to say considering who they just beat yesterday.

I'm not even a Cuse fan, but, would you care to retract that? :)

Then again, didn't you also say Duke was overrated? I'm still waiting for a response to my post in that thread... :)

They were lucky to stay in that. Too bad it ends there. No way they beat 'Nova, providing they get there.

No turnovers in the 2nd half until there's 2 minutes left. G-Mac, Devendorf, and even Matt freakin' Gorman lighting it up. Chyeah, it was all luck.

Well, Nova got bumped too...

Syracuse is on fire lately... I don't think I'd bet against them vs Pitt...

Guess they don't have to worry about that now, do they???

Ahhhh, so much jealousy going on in this thread. I love it!

NYC doesn't have a College team. it's a Pro town not a college town. I would say there are more UConn and SU fans in NYC than SJU but overall very few people care about college sports.

NYC has always been an SU town (though the Johnnies were Number One back in the day of Chris Mullin). Tons of alumni live there.

Too bad Stephon Marbury decided not to go to SU.
