1. New York Jets (from Houston) - "With the first pick in the 2006 NFL draft the New York Jets select Matt Leinart, QB USC". And the New York fans begin boing in the middle of their J - E - T - S chant, and a riot ensues. The rest of the first round is post-poned for one entire day while the terrorists are extradited to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Seriously, this is their guy and Houston wanted nothing to do with another franchise QB or Reggie Bush. Houston management breathes a sigh of relief. In return they received NY's first rounder and second rounder this year and next year's first round and third round picks.

2. New Orleans - Jay Cutler, QB Vanderbilt - Talk about a smart move for a change. Hope returns to the "land" where the people that George Bush hate live. Mel Kiper begins to spew venom as someone from the audience shoots him. The draft is delayed another day.

3. Tennessee - Reggie Bush, RB USC - Wow, this guy actually slipped two spots? Yup, and Tennessee, conflicted about picking him up, start wondering if they might actually win this year. Get a life dorks. You already had your miracle.

4. Houston (from New York Jets)- D'brickashaw Ferguson, OT Virginia - Stock in BenGay declines as Carr actually might have a gaming chance to remain standing this year. Too bad for him... I think he prefers being bent over. He still sucks and Houston will rue not taking Leinart someday. Oh well, their close to Dallas so i guess I hate them too.

5. Green Bay - Mario Williams, DE NCST - Greenbay just got a lot better. That's all there is to say about that.

6. Arizona (from San Francisco) - Vince Young, QB Texas - Tell me this doesn't feel like a Denny Green move. He gave up a pricey second round pick this year in order to make this move. On his way to the podium, Vince forgets why he is there until someone yelled "Run". Putz.

7. Oakland - AJ Hawk, LB OSU - A pretty boring and smart pick from Raider land. Some are suprised Ngata didn't go here.

8. Cleveland (from Buffalo) - Haloti Ngata, DT Oregon - Cleveland can't believe they got their nose tackle and was happy to give Buffalo their 3rd round pick... the 78th overall. Marv begins to stockpile.

9. Detroit - Michael Huff, S Texas - Matt Millen has to stick needles under his finger nails to prevent himself from taking Vernon Davis, and does the smart thing and picks a total need for them. Their defense is going to pretty good i think.

10. San Francisco (from Arizona) - Vernon Davis, TE Maryland - Alex Smith is going to need to some toys if he is ever going to be successful. Every quarterback needs a good tight end to get him out of jams. This guy is way more than that. The best value of the day, considering they picked up an additional second round pick as well.

11. St. Louis - Jimmy Williams, CB V Tech - Haslett needs some toys of his own.

12. Dallas (from Buffalo) - Winston Justice, OT USC - Bledsoe needs this stuff in order to be successful. So, their giving it to him. Wouldn't it be something if they also gave him TO? Buffalo picks up Dallas' second round pick this year in exchange.

13. Baltimore - Brodrick Bunkley, DT FSU - Another attitude on an attitude D. They might not be the best D out there anymore, but they sure feel like it.

14. Philadelphia - Chad Greenway, OLB Iowa - This is about as boring and as smart as it gets. Aside from the TO fiasco, this is a solid organization from top to bottom, and this pick is evidence of that.

15. Atlanta - DeAngelo Williams, RB Memphis State - There is no denying his talent and would have a great tutor in Warrick Dunn. Just seems this team had other needs, but then again they gave up a first rounder for Peerless Price. Only monkey's are that stupid.

16. Miami - Antonio Cromartie, CB FSU - Nick Saban is quickly becoming the sexiest coach in the NFL. Mort gets on and talks about rumors of Saban being gay. Kiper begins to blush and sweat excessively.

17. Minnesota - LenDale White, RB USC - Did they get the best NFL type backin the draft so far? Time will tell.

18. Cincinnati (from Buffalo) - Ko Simpson, S Carolina - They were worried about San Diego taking him with their pick and they need more of a strong safety to go with Mouldsrocks boy Madieu Williams. Whitner is more of a free safety fit and this pick is great for them. Cinci now has the best safety tandem in the league. Buffalo picks up Cincinnati's third round pick this year and next year's fifth round pick.

19. San Diego - Donte Whitner, S OSU - They keep building that franchise through the draft and found another starter. Too bad Schotzy is their coach.

20. Kansas City - Chad Jackson, WR Florida - They need help all over the place, but this is a good pickup for them as they really don't have a true #1.

21. New England - Manny Lawson, DE/OLB NCST - BB and co. know when to let falling stars go. They just replaced one of their brightest in one pick. Willie McGinnest was one of the greatest Patriots ever and will be missed, but this guy's presence eases the sting.

22. Denver (from Washington) - Tamba Hali, DE PSU - They just continue to realize it all starts up front. They have nothing anywhere else, so they crapped out in the end, but they almost got there.

23. Tampa Bay - Marcus McNeil, OT Auburn - Okay, so he blocked for Cadillac in college and he fits their need. Duh!

24. Buffalo Bills (from Cincinnati) - Nick Mangold, C OSU - Beaten wives across WNY rejoice as the Bills have finally made a selection amidst the paniced, druken screams for instant gratification. Hull was the center of the offense that redefined the game. Levy, despite his age, remembers that. This is a fantastic pick and they got themselves 3 more picks along the way. Way to go Marv. We Billieve!

25. New York Giants - Ashton Youboty, CB OSU - The offense is clicking when Manning doesn't suck, so they go defense and wisely so.

26. Chicago - Leonard Pope, TE Georgia - Consensus pick.

27. Carolina - Laurence Maroney, RB Minnesota - Their running game tired down the stretch and cost them the SuperBowl run they deserve. That won't happen again this year.

28. Jacksonville - Bobby Carpenter, OLB OSU - Christ! Has OSU turned into the "The U" this year with all the first round picks? Their D just gets tougher and tougher to rush the ball against. Too bad they can't rush the passer too. Either way, this kid is a football player and will do well in the Jville.

29. Denver - Santonio Holmes, WR OSU - Another OSU guy and Denver is jumping for joy that he is there. Too bad Jake Plummer still sucks.

30. Indianapolis - Charles Spencer, G Pitt - Manning still rules the roost up in Indi and whined up a storm after he choked another game away. This guy might appear not in the mold of an Indi linemen because of his size, but he is agile as hell and should solidify the interior of that line so poor widdle peyton don't get hurt by dose big bad black men. If there is anything I hate more than Miami, its gotta be the Manning's.

31. Seattle - Demeco Ryans, OLB - Alabama - WOW! What a value pick for the Seabirds. They picked up a hell of a football player. They'll be back again next year battling with Tampa this time for the NFC crown.

32. Pittsburgh - Thomas Howard, OLB UTEP - Steady as she goes Captain Chin. Pomolau and his ****ing hair got themselves a play mate. Their defense just got a whole lot better.

Bills picked up a potentially great center and the 49th, 78th, and 91st picks in this draft to go along with the 42nd, 70th and 73rd.

With seven picks in the first three rounds, the Bills can go along way towards rebuilding their pitiful lines.

LOL, the heads of most people on these boards would explode if the Bills actually traded down that many times. Thanks Coastal, that was really a fun mock !

Who would you target with some of those extra picks?

Nice Job

better to trade down a bunch of times like that than t just trade down to the middle of the round....

but I'd rather take Davis.

Its a good idea but it would never happen.

Has anyone ever traded down multiple times like that. I cant remember any.

Now, take all of the picks you just picked up, plus Mangold, and trade with GB for the rights to Mario.

You have Spencer going in the first? Bummer, I was hoping he'd make it to the 2nd

Marv wouldn't be that stupid...I hope.

In the process of working on round two. I'm betting a few more linemen end up on our board.

Round 2:

33. Houston - Claude Wroten, DT LSU - making the switch to the 4-3 this year will require this kind of player for them.

34. New Orleans - Gabe Watson, DT - hit or miss. With the luck of that town, I'm not banking on this guy. God can't be that cruel, can he?

35. Houston (from New York Jets) - Darnell Bing, S USC - Having a hell of a draft, aren't they?

36. Green Bay - Ernie Sims, OLB FSU - This dde is going to freeze.

37. San Francisco - Tye Hill, CB Clemson - Great pick. They just got an instant starter.

38. Oakland - Mathias Kiwanuka, DE BC - Be interesting to see him and AJ HAwk on the field together.

39. Tennessee - Eric Winston, OT Miami - Miami didn't have a first rounder? What? They run out of coke?

40. Detroit - D'Qwell Jackson - LB Maryland - Their D shaping up for Rod.

41. San Francisco (from Arizona) - Joseph Addai, RB LSU - Not having a bad draft either. Smith, Vernon and now this guy... their big three?

42. Buffalo Bills - Jonathan Lewis, DT V.Tech - Levy keeps on plugging the middle of both lines. He told you he was going to do it, and he wasn't bluffing like his predecesor. Keep it up Marvo!

43. Cleveland - Jonathan Scott, OT Texas - Another team building their lines. Would be fun to watch Cleveland/Buffalo playoff games in a couple of years.

44. Baltimore - Jonathan Joseph, CB S.Carolina - Three Jonathan's in a row. Sounds like gay porn to me, but the Ravens have just retooled their D. Ray Ray will be jumping.

45. Philadelphia - John McCargo, DT NCST - At least his name isn't Jonathan. We'll see if this guy does shit without Manny or Mario. Big bust prospect.

46. St. Louis - Jason Allen - CB/Safety Tenn. - Haslett will put this kid at safety and Jimmy Williams at corner. Pretty athletic tandem.

47. Atlanta - Sinorice Moss, WR Miami - RB and WR. Has Tom Donahoe taken over in Atlanta? Wierd. Bills fans giggle amongst themselves, but old anxieties quietly creep into their drunken reactions. Wives around WNY sense the change and begin to scatter for cover.

48. Minnesota - Max Jean-Gilles, G Georgia - Whoever ends up being QB needs all the help they can get.

49. Buffalo (from Dallas) - Andrew Whitworth, OT LSU - For ****'s sake Marv! You weren't kidding about the lines we're you? Not to mention, you certainly weren't kidding about running the ball either! This kid loves to run the rock and punch people in the ****ing mouth. With Peters, Mangold and now this guy, we have very quickly turned our offensive into a youthful group. Each has their own talents and abilities. This should be fun to watch.

...who cares about the rest of round two!!!

Here are the Bills remaining picks in round 3...

70. Buffalo (from Tennessee last year) - Maurice Stovall, WR Notre Dame - excellent run blocker and hard worker. Great red zone weapon. The offense is starting to come together.

73. Buffalo - Jessee Maholena, DT Tennessee - We need the dudes. Another young stallion to add to our growing crop of young linemen.

78. Buffalo (from Cleveland) - Greg Blue, S Georgia - Lawyer who?

91. Buffalo (from Cincinnati) - Anthony Fasano, TE Notre Dame - Gotta love a couple of golden domers coming to play together on the Bills. This ain't quite the line, but it might as well be. This kid blocks for a living.

4th round - Kevin Boothe, OG Cornell - Ivy meets Ivy, and another young body in the trenches.

5th round - Eric Meyer, QB E. Washington - Gotta take a stab at him. He's in my sig. for Chris'ts sake.

6th or 7th? like I ****ing know!?

Has anyone ever traded down multiple times like that. I cant remember any.

You see, this is a great strategy when there are 2 players you are choosing from but you have no idea which one you want. So, you keep trading down until one of them is taken, then you nab the other one. And, of course, all along the way you are stockpiling middle round picks that you were picking up to go along with the lower round 1 picks. By the time this is done, you get your first rounder, and around 8 picks between rounds 3 and 5. Brilliant!

Wait, the NFL doesn't work like Madden?

Damn. :mad2:

coastal's mock draft postal: Rd. 1 (complete with trades) updated 3-27-2006

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1. New York Jets (from Houston) – Reggie Bush, RB USC - With a two headed monster at quarterback, the Jets decide its time to pull the trigger. Reggie Bush is a rare talent and could be one of those players that come around once a generation. Then again, the Big Apple may swallow this kid whole. New York parts ways with the 4th, 29th, and 35th picks overall to obtain the best player in the draft.

2. New Orleans - Mario Williams, DE NCST - All the mock drafts aside when it comes down to crunch time, people do start taking the best rated player this high in the first round, and Mario is most certainly the second or third highest rated player on most teams draft boards.

3. Tennessee – D’brickashaw Ferguson, OT Virginia - Why does every mock I see have them taking a quarterback? This is the smart pick. I like Billy Volek as an alternative to McNair, or I am the only person sick and tired of hearing about how Air McNair is playing with cracked ribs or turf toe or syphilis. That aside, the Texans draft room just went ape. They traded down to get this kid. Leinart begins his drop.

4. Houston (from New York Jets) – Michael Huff, S Texas – Once they regrouped and realized that unless they wanted to pull a Minnesota they had better make a selection. No trade offer materialized and they took the best fit for their most glaring need. They got a pro-bowler here.

5. Oakland (from Green Bay) – Matt Leinart, QB USC – WOW! Al Davis just lucked out. Al gives a first round QB from USC another try. His previous attempt, you ask? Todd Marijuanavich! In a quarterback starved league, this is the steal of the draft. All they had to give up was a third round pick to make the move.

6. San Francisco - Vernon Davis, TE Maryland - Alex Smith is going to need to some toys if he is ever going to be successful. Every quarterback needs a good tight end to get him out of jams. This guy is way more than that. The best value of the day, considering they picked up an additional second round pick as well.

7. Green Bay (from San Francisco) - AJ Hawk, OLB OSU - 5th rated guy on most boards, going seventh overall. He is going to look good in the green and yellow. The cheese heads love how white this kid is.

8. Cleveland (from Buffalo) - Haloti Ngata, DT Oregon - Cleveland can't believe they got their nose tackle and was happy to give Buffalo their 3rd round pick... the 78th overall. Ted Washington will be there to teach, provide rotation, and depth. Cleveland might have a top five defense next year. Good job Marv!

9. Detroit - Jay Cutler, QB Vanderbilt - McCown only signed for two years. The perfect amount of time for Jay to get ready. Detroit is solid at the QB position for the first time in years. They finally have a couple of guys to throw to all them recievers. Now, only if they had someone to block for them.

10. Arizona - Vince Young, QB Texas - Tell me this doesn't feel like a Denny Green move. Green goes with the athletic freak. They may suck, but at least they’ll be interesting.

11. St. Louis - Jimmy Williams, CB V Tech - Haslett needs some toys of his own. Buffalo fans breath a sigh of relief that St. Louis didn’t take Broderick and Jimmy Williams didn’t get to them.

12. Buffalo – Broderick Bunkley, DT FSU – Adams? Gone! Bannan? Gone! Edwards? Gone! Tim Anderson? Bwahahahahaha! Talk about TOTAL need. We basically traded Bunkley for Ngata and got the 78th pick in the draft to go along with it. You go Marv. Bunkley’s attitude and motor should rub off well on Triplett.

13. Baltimore – Winston Justice, OT USC – This kid immediately becomes their starting right tackle. Matched with Ogden, talk about a pair of bookends.

14. Miami (from Philadelphia) – Chad Jackson, WR - Nick Saban is quickly becoming the sexiest coach in the NFL. Mort gets on and talks about rumors of Saban being gay. Kiper begins to blush and sweat excessively. Aside from that, Miami is going vertical in a LARGE way with Culpepper, Chambers, Booker, McMichael and now Jackson. With Ronnie Brown having a solid rookie campaign, they have the makings of a quick strike offense. Thank god their o-line sucks.

15. Denver (from Atlanta) – Tamba Hali, DE PSU - I’m thinking Denver got involved in the Abraham trade to move into this spot for a reason. And that reason was Chad Jackson. Settling for Tamba should lessen the blow. The kid has borderline measureables, but when it comes to playing the game of football, he is a warrior.

16. Philadelphia – Chad Greenway, LB Iowa – This is about as boring as it gets and makes all the sense in the world. Don’t let the TO debacle fool you. This is a great organization, and this pick is great evidence of that. Plus, they pick up a fourth round pick to boot.

17. Minnesota – Ernie Sims, OLB – FSU – Another Tampa 2 coordiantor trying to duplicate the Bucs by drafting their version of Derrick Brooks. He might have done it too. Ashton Youboty would have been a cool pick with Winfield being on board. Two Ohio State CB’s starting, but they went with Sims.

18. Dallas – Eric Winston, OT Miami – The first reach happens in Big D. Can this guy start at left tackle for the Boys? This pick has Jerry Jones written all over it. I’m thinking Bobby Carpenter would have been the Tuna’s pick.

19. San Diego - Donte Whitner, S OSU - They keep building that franchise through the draft and found another starter. Too bad Schotzy is their coach.

20. Kansas City – Ashton Yooboty, CB Ohio St. – An Ohio State CB in the first round? About as safe as a pick as you can get, and a good pickup for KC.

21. New England - Manny Lawson, DE/OLB NCST - BB and co. know when to let falling stars go. They just replaced one of their brightest in one pick. Willie McGinnest was one of the greatest Patriots ever and will be missed, but this guy's presence eases the sting.

22. Denver (from Washington) – Laurence Maroney, RB Minnesota – With Anderson gone, Shanahan needs something more than Bell to rely upon. This guy will be a great player in their system.

23. Tampa Bay - Marcus McNeil, OT Auburn - Okay, so he blocked for Cadillac in college and he fits their need. Duh!

24. Cincinnati – Ko Simpson, S Carolina – Madieu and Ko? What did you call me? Forget it. These guys will be amazing together.

25. New York Giants – Bobby Carpenter, OLB Ohio St. – When Manning isn’t busy sucking, their defense is. Good pick for the Gmen.

26. Chicago - Leonard Pope, TE Georgia - Consensus pick.

27. Carolina - Lendale White, RB USC – This is the steal of the draft. Their running game tired down the stretch and cost them the Super Bowl run they deserve. That won't happen again this year. Awesome pick.

28. Jacksonville – Charles Spencer, G Pitt – A beast of a man. This is one physical team up front on both sides of the ball. Most teams aren’t looking forward to playing these guys.

29. Houston (from NY Jets/Denver/Atlanta) – Jonathan Scott, OT Texas – All my exes live in Texas. Whatever. Houston takes their second Texas player who happens to fill a need too. This guy won’t be a pro-bowler but should be an every down starter. A solid pickup for Houston.

30. Indianapolis - DeAngelo Williams, RB Memphis - Manning still rules the roost up in Indi and whined up a storm after he choked another game away. I think they were targeting Spencer, but now that he is gone, should they replace the Edge? I suppose so.

31. Seattle – Santonio Holmes, WR Ohio State – A good steal this late in round one. That offense will be unstoppable next year. Too bad it’s their D that needs help.

32. Pittsburgh - Thomas Howard, OLB UTEP - Steady as she goes Captain Chin. Pomolau and his ****ing hair got themselves a play mate. Their defense just got a whole lot better.

Bills picked up Bunkley and the 78th pick in this draft to go along with the 42nd, 70th and 73rd.

I like the first one better. Only because it made me LMAO. I think this part was one of the funniest, and probably slipped under most peoples' radar:

15. Atlanta - DeAngelo Williams, RB Memphis State - There is no denying his talent and would have a great tutor in Warrick Dunn. Just seems this team had other needs, but then again they gave up a first rounder for Peerless Price. Only monkey's are that stupid.

But, great job on both of them, Coastal. I'm sure it took you a while to do all that.

Great job again Coastal. These mocks are really great fun, but also very inspired.

If the Bills are not sold on Ngata, a trade with Cleveland makes sense. However, I have reservations about Bunkley and actually prefered your multiple trade down mock for the Bills that resulted in them getting Mangold.

Even though there will be great value at the positions of greatest need for the Bills in the 2nd and 3rd rounds, I still want to see them draft a "playmaker" at 8.

updated as of 4-7-6

1. Houston - D'Brickashaw Ferguson, OT Virginia - Nobody was willing to pay a king's ransom for a running back, so Houston is "stuck" at number one. They figure they are going to give their long term investment (Carr) one more chance. They have Andre Johnson, signed Jeb Purtzier, and traded for Eric Moulds. They also have Domanick Davis signed to a long-term contract. Now they have their left tackle they have always missed. Okay David. The weight of the world is on your shoulder's to show everyone why they didn't take Reggie Bush with the number one pick overall in the draft.

2. New York Jets (from New Orleans) - Reggie Bush, RB, USC - Wow. They were planning on trading up to get Leinart but went with Reggie Bush instead. Houston passed on him, but NY certainly wasn't going to make that same decision. He fits one of their team needs and is an amazing talent. What a revenue producing machine he is going to be in NY. They gave up the 29th, 35th, and 97th pick in this year's draft to get the best player. Not a bad deal.

3. Tennessee – AJ Hawk, LB Ohio State - Why does every mock I see have them taking a quarterback? I like Billy Volek as an alternative to McNair. Why waste a pick on a quarterback when you can get the best defensive player in the draft at this pick? AJ Hawk is ignored as one of top three to five selections by those who don't know football. Jeff Fischer does. Good pickup for the Titans.

4. New Orleans – Vince Young, QB Texas - Wow! This draft is getting bizarre. How is Matt Leinart not the first quarterback taken in the NFL draft? Well, because New Orleans is picking. That's why. Also, Drew Brees contract by some accounts is basically a one year option that turns it into a long term deal only after the first year option is picked up. Not just that but with the San Antonio ties, this is purely a regional, finanical move by New Orleans. Their fans love the pick, even though it makes no football sense.

5. Denver (from Green Bay) – Vernon Davis, TE Maryland – WOW! In what was the most talked segment in the history of the NFL draft, Denver had the booty to make the move. Leinart begins to cry. Left coasters are all like that. Denver gives up their 15th and 22nd pick in the first round in order to make this selection.

6. Arizona (from San Francisco) - Matt Leinart, QB USC - Matt Leinart gets to sit a year or probably less, because that ****** Kurt Warner will pull a groin or something running from his butch dyke wife. Praise God Kurt. Matt is here to bail you out. Arizona gives up their second round pick in order to select the best “football ready” quarterback in this year’s draft.

7. Oakland – Mario Williams, DE NCST – Bills fans threw their beer bottles through their TV sets and everyone in town had Buffalo 66 fantasies when they saw the image of Al Davis on their tubes. Run wifey. Run. Your next.

8. Green Bay (from Buffalo) – Jay Cutler, QB Vandy – Green Bay gives up the 22nd, 36th and 67th pick in the 2006 NFL draft in order to get their replacement for Brett Favre. Most people are comparing this kid to Brett, kind of like the Losman comparisons from a year ago. The difference this time… Jay’s not a dick.

9. Detroit – Michael Huff, CB/S Texas – Finally a pick that makes sense for Matt Millen. I was silently rooting for them to take Chad Jackson. Moron.

10. San Francisco – Haloti Ngata, DT Oregon – He is a perfect fit for their 3-4 defense.

11. St. Louis - Tye Hill, CB Clemson - Haslett needs some toys. This guy and his 4.3 speed are going to be incredible on the fast track in St. Louis.

12. Dallas (from Cleveland) – Winston Justice, OT USC – He should do well in that circus called Dallas. The remaining sets in Buffalo are smashed when they show Jerry Jones sitting next to Bill Parcells with all those book shelves behind them as another wave of “Mario was just one pick away” anger pang sweeps through WNY. Dallas gives up the 80th pick in the draft in order to get the most juvenile player on the board.

13. Baltimore – Broderick Bunkley, DT FSU – Doesn’t this feel like the pick for them. He’ll fit in great with the rest of the murderers down there.

A lesson we learned the hard way. At least their QB is 260+ pounds and harder than hell to bring down. Miami gives up their fourth rounder in order to obtain this guy’s services.

15. Green Bay (from Denver) – Jimmy Williams, CB V. Tech – They need a play maker and despite the predraft garbage otherwise, they got the best guy to fit that bill next to Huff.

18. Cleveland – Demaco Ryans, OLB Alabama – Everyone thought they would go with a Manny Lawson or Kamerion Wimbley type pick here. Not so. They took the best all-purpose back seeing they have McGinnest to play for a couple of years and they need more than his replacement at this point if they are going to be successful.

19. San Diego – Santonio Holmes, WR OSU – Keenan McCardell, Antonio Gates, LT… What, no D? Talk about Buffalo West.

20. Kansas City – Kamerion Wimbley, DE FSU – A bit of a tweener but will be a good third down addition until they can find out of this kid can play every down.

21. New England - Manny Lawson, DE/OLB NCST - BB and co. know when to let falling stars go. They just replaced one of their brightest in one pick. Willie McGinnest was one of the greatest Patriots ever and will be missed, but this guy's presence eases the sting.

22. Buffalo (from Green Bay) – Leonard Pope, TE Georgia – Expect to see a heavy dose of two and three tight end sets along with a heavy does of Willis McGahee. This offense is gearing up to be very big, very physical, and very tough. An odd pick but one that makes sense with what they are trying to do offensively.

26. Chicago – Jonathan Joseph, CB – The Bears need help at CB and now they have it. This kid needs some coaching but is going to find it in spades in Chicago. Their D just gets tougher and tougher. This kid will be the starting nickel back from day one and bshould be the starting CB by midway.

27. Carolina – DeAngelo Williams, RB Memphis – This is the steal of the draft.

29. New Orleans (NY Jets/Denver/Atlanta) – Eric Winston, OT Miami - Boom or bust... Might as well keep rolling the dice.

30. Indianapolis – Laurence Maroney, RB Minn – Talk about a great fit. With swapping this guy for Edge, they have lost very little. Too bad they will still lose what matter’s most… big games.

31. Seattle – Ashton Youboty, CB OSU – The first round Ohio State sweepstakes continues. They could have gone Davin here to replace hutch, but went with some D instead.

32. Pittsburgh – LenDale White, RB USC – If the chin can’t get something out of this kid, no one can. He’ll replace the Bus in the redzone.

Bills picked up another weapon on offense along with a couple of highly coveted picks… the 36th and the 67th pick in this draft to go along with the 42nd, 70th and 73rd that they already have.

Now, take all of the picks you just picked up, plus Mangold, and trade with GB for the rights to Mario.

You have Spencer going in the first? Bummer, I was hoping he'd make it to the 2nd

He will ... why would the Colts not draft a RB or Defense

updated as of 4-7-6

1. Houston - D'Brickashaw Ferguson, OT Virginia - Nobody was willing to pay a king's ransom for a running back, so Houston is "stuck" at number one. They figure they are going to give their long term investment (Carr) one more chance. They have Andre Davis, signed Jeb Purtzier, and traded for Eric Moulds.

30. Indianapolis – Laurence Maroney, RB Minn – Talk about a great fit. With swapping this guy for Edge, they have lost very little. Too bad they will still lose what matter’s most… big games.

The Bills are not going to trade down like this.

Your trades are insane!

Tye Hill goes to high, Specncer and Ko Simpson are not first rounders.

I hope this is a joke.

The time you put into this is amazing.

I was being honest when I said the time you put into this is amazing.

The trades are just so crazy tho and why would Cutler and Young get takin before Leinart?

Also Denver is looking to dump their first rounders because they can not afford them so why would they move up for a top five pick?

I think you should expand your draft as I am really interest to see who you have the Bills taking with these later picks you have them getting.

fair enough, but Cutler is not going before Leinart in my latest update.

As far as Young going beforethem, you might want to stop and think that $$$ factors into the decisions made by some franchises.

Young to New Orleans would be one of the most popular choices that team could make.

The revenue from jersey sales alone should pay for that guys contract.

And Denver got invovled in the Abraham trade for some reason. I think tis to package thier picks and select Vernon. He'd be great in their offense. They'll figure the cap out somehow.

I would they touch Vince Young when they already have Brees (paid him top dollar) and many other holes to fix. D'Brick is a lock at 2 to the Saints.

Denver is not moving up also I think you are to high on VD he is not a top 5 pick and he may slip out of the top 10.

I have seen reports that Drew Brees' contract has an option at year one that turns it into a multi year deal.

In essence it is a one year $10 million contract.

I like the idea of trading down, but GB seems to be getting quite a bit for #5, while we aren't getting all that much for #8 (a third and a fourth if my calculations are correct). I can see us trading down with Denver for the #15 and #22, but not all the way from 8 to 22 without a second and third, maybe even a second from next year as well. Great effort, though.

...remaining draft...

33. Houston - Thomas Howard, OLB UTEP
34. New Olreans - Gabe Watson, DT Michigan
35. New Orleans - Claude Wroten, DT LSU - Well, between Vince Young, Eric Winston, Gabe Watson and now Clude Wroten, they have added an awful lot of talent to that football club. Now let's see if they can be a team.

36. Buffalo - Taitsui Lutui, OG USC - Tell me trading down that far isn't worth it. All the sudden we have two very solid TE's, two very solid offensive linemen (Peters and this guy) and a solid running back. We will be pounding the rock this year.

37. San Francisco - Antonio Cromartie, CB FSU
38. Oakland - Jason Allen, S Tenn
39. Tennessee - D'Quell Jackson, ILB Maryland - talk about a rebuilt LB core with him and Hawk and David thornton signed from Indi. Phew.
40. Detroit - Abdul Hodge, ILB Iowa
41. San Francisco - Pat Watkins, FS FSU - Ngata Cromartie, and this guy? Talk about a rebuilt D.

42. Buffalo - Tamba Hali, DE PSU - They could have taken this guy in the first and got good value for him. They are suprised he made it to their second pick in this round. A rotation of Hali and kelsay might be something worth watching. Whose motor is higher.

43. Cleveland - Davin Joseph, G Oklahoma
44. Baltimore - Darnell Bing, SS USC - another lunatic to add to the asylum that is their D. They are back on top.
45. Philadelphia - Rod Wright, DT Texas
46. St. Loius - Marcedes lewis, TE UCLA- He'll do good on the fast track.
47. Atlanta - Joseph Addai, RB LSU
48. Minnesota - Kelly Jennings, CB Miami
49. Dallas - Sinorice Moss, WR Miami - Jerry Jones taking the reins back and this draft is evidence of that.
50. Chargers - Richard Marshall, CB Fresno St.
51. Minnesota - Max Jean-Gilles, OG Georgia - this guy to go with Hutch and McKinney. Wow.
52. New England - Maurice Stovall, WR Notre Dame
53. Washington - Daniel Bullocks, S Nebraska
54. Kansas City - Derek Hagan, WR ASU
55. Cinci - Nick Mangold, C The Ohio State University - this guy slipped? He is a center afterall.
56. NY Giants - Orien Harris, DT Miami
57. Chicago - Anthony Fasano, TE Notre Dame
58. Carolina - Jon Alston, OLB Stanford
59. Tampa Bay - Alan Zemaitis, CB PSU
60. Jacksonville - Joe Klopfenstein, TE Colorado

61. Buffalo (from Denver) - Jonathan Lewis, DT V. Tech - Buffalo trades up this time giving up their two fifth round picks in order to do so along with the 70th pick overall. They need this guy in their scheme bad. He'll make a nice addition to an already vastly improved, more athletic Dline.

62. Indianapolis - John McCargo, DT NCST
63. Seattle - Ray Edwards, DE Purdue
64. Pittsburgh - Anwar Phillips, CB PSU
65. Houston - Roman Harper, S alabama
66. Houston - Darryl Tapp, DE V. Tech

67. Buffalo (from Denver) - Andrew Whitworth, OT LSU - Could Peters be headed to the left side. If this guy is going to start this year... yep. He's a run blocker extraordinaire. With Peters, Tatui, this guy, and some TE's... think we might run the ball?

68. San Francisco - Gerris Wilkinson, OLB G. Tech
69. Oakland - Jesse Mahelona, DT Tenn
70. Denver - Mark Anderson, DE Alabama
71. NY Jets - Daryn Colledge, OT Boise State
72. Arizona - Ryan O'Callaghan, OT Boise State

73. Buffalo - Greg Blue, S Georgia - Can't play man for a shit, but is built for zone coverage. hmmmm.

105. Buffalo - Marcus Maxey, CB Miami
