if thats the way it falls I say we trade down and get either hali, bunkley, or justice plus more picks. If that fails take Huff straight up and put him at safety, he is a solid player.

If we stay at 8 and want a DT Bunkley is the way to go. After his showing at the combine he is not a reach at 8. He has positioned himself to be the same type of prospect that Tommie Harris was and I'm pretty sure he was drafted around 8th overall. He's just a better fit for us.

I seriously dont see us taking Ngata over Bunkley.

I think other players would have a bigger impact on this team, but its only a prediction of mine. I have no clue who the best players will be, I just dont think we would be taking the best player for this team if we draft Ngata.

Personally I would prefer Huff. The cover two needs fast safeties that can hit.

I like huff at 8 also and bunkley impressed me at the combine, I had a chance to watch some of it on NFL network and saw alot of bunkley.

I have nothing against Kipers choice for our pick I like the young man and think with his last couple of years and what he's overcome he is less of a gamble than some of the other players.Mature and ready for the challenges that face a young man who has had to endure challenges allready.Life challenges of the most serious kind namely losing his parents at a very young age.On top of that the young man is a great football player and is fierce in nature. After the Mike Williams cheerleader guy(photo on other threads) type attitude where a broken nail could sideline him for weeks, this guy will be a revelation.I see a proud warrior with skills and accomplishments that make him a highly desirable commodity!

While I agree that the cover 2 needs fast safties that can hit, I also think that we need to build this D from the DL on back. Let the safeties be the final pieces of the puzzle. I thin kthat Indy got both of thier safeties (perfect for the cover 2) in the late first/early second range.

God, I don't understand people who don't understand you win in the trenches. Combine=Eric Flowers. Bunkley had two 2 rounders on his team. Ngata had he, himself and him.

Ngata got whipped by Oklahoma's offensive lineman in the Holiday Bowl. None of those lineman will be found in the first two rounds of the draft.

Ngata should not be the pick. Take Davis or Trade down and take Bunkley and add picks. I think that FA is the better way to build a line that can play good football right away.

He didn't get whipped, he got double team. Liked he did his whole career. Plus, He. Got. The. Back. Of. His. Ankle. Rolled. in the game. You know how hard it is to beat a double team on one leg. You couldn't contain Bunkley cuz you had to deal with Wimbley, Sims and others.
