Patrick (Buffalo, NY): Mort, who do you see the Bills going after with the #8 pick? I think a trade for some extra picks is the way to go...

Chris Mortensen: It's a pretty darn good top 10 so they need to stay at 8 and see who slides to them before entertaining a trade on the clock. Extra picks also could be attractive because in this somewhat tight salary cap environment it always helps to go that route.

I've already stated my prefrence on this. I'm against giving picks in this years draft to trade up. I would consider moving down if we could get a great package and we go no farther than 12. My prefered option is to stay at 8 and pick the best player availble

Only way I give up Ngata.

Ngo Ngata....

You don't take a Nose tackle at 8...ever. There isn't a nose tackle playing in the NFL today that is worth the 8th pick in the draft, and Ngata isn't either.

I guess you don't know what Tommie Harris did for the entire Bears Team.

Big globs of fat can be found in the later rounds or through free agency.

Vernon Davis is now rated the 3rd best player in the draft by Mayock of NFL network.

And HE STILL didn't get picked til 14....

you don't take a DT in the top 10...ever..especially for this team.

Especially one from the Pac-10

Yeah, but I'm not sure if he's a genius, or rapidly descending into insanity. He has like 15 people in his top 10.

You want to first round DE picked at 14, then get this guy.

Round Pick Overall Name Team School
1 10 10 Terrell Suggs Ravens Arizona State
1 14 14 Michael Haynes Bears Penn State

First round DEs look more sukee than good.

It would be stupid for the Bills to trade down until they are on the clock. They can have a deal in place, but don't pull the trigger until you see what top players are available. A trade down just became less likely with the cutting of Campbell, Adams and Milloy, because there are great players who may be available at what have suddenly become need positions, safety and tight end.
