We are now 2 months away from the draft and we have had time to look at some of the prospects thanks to the Senior Bowl, Combine, and various other events.

I was wondering now who are the top 5 players people would like to see the Bills draft at 8.

So rank them 1-5 w/ 1 being the most wanted

(Side note: players only, no trades)

Mine are as follows

1.Mario Williams
2.D'Brick
3.Vernon Davis
4.Ngata
5.Bunkley

I had Davis in my top 10 but he has really jumped up my board lately b/c I think he has the potential to be a real game changer

Williams
Ferguson
Huff
Hawk
Santonio Holmes (buckeye homer pick, if Moulds leaves, he's a similar player)

D'Brickashaw Ferguson - He would be the top pick in the draft many other years. The prototypical LT. Peterson and D'Brick would give the Bills the best young pair of bookend tackles in the league.

Mario Williams - Has the size to play LDE, and the quickness to make plays in the backfield. He's a perfect cover 2 strong side DE. Schobel and Williams would give QB's fits coming at them from both sides.

Haloti Ngata - He's a monster and would make it impossible to run up the middle. He also is athletic enough to shoot the gap and he's certainly strong enough to collapse the pocket. He would give the Bills the ability to mix up their front and use multiple packages. He won't be able to be blocked one on one, and that should free things up for the other 3 on the line.

Vernon Davis - He would give the Bills a dimension on offense they have not had since the K-Gun was put on teh shelf. Unbelievable speed and explosion for a big man. Would create ridiculous match up problems and really help JP by giving him an outlet that can turn a dump off into a large gainer.

Brodrick Bunkley - He is a perfect cover 2 DT. Has amazing strength and athleticism. He is the best pass rushing DT in the draft but still has the strength to hold up at the point of attack.

Bunkley's combine performance knocked Hali out of the top 5 for me. Huff is also right there.

***I would rank Reggie Bush #3, but there is no chance he drops and I am not ready to give up on Willis. I would also put Hawk at 4, but again I don't see him dropping and he is not as high of a need.

Reggie Bush wouldn't be a Willis replacement...he's be a complement.

if we didn't suck and have so many other holes he'd be ideal.

I'm only putting people on my board that I think will be there @ 8. We ain't trading up. We need the dudes.

Also, I am giving some (not all) weight to need and the depth of the draft at certain positions.

Translation: Almost zero chance of Leinart, Bush, D'brick, M. Williams, Cutler

1.) Broderick Bunkley, DT FSU - I like him better than Ngata. He is the perfect fit for the new D and would create a pretty intimidating interior 2. Now if we could just replace London with someone scarier... cool.

2.) Vernon Davis, TE Maryland - Freak. Total package @ TE. Better prospect than Kellen Winslow II without "The U" baggage. With Moulds appearing on his way out the door, Evans, Losman, and McGahee are going to need some help. I also heard the new OC likes 2 TE sets. Top 5 talent to go along with a team need.

3.) Michael Huff, CB Texas - Another top 5 talent. Should project to safety in the Tampa 2. His presence effectively shuts down one side of the football field in the passing game. Put him with McGee and you have an awful lot of youthful energy running around the secondary. You have to find some Dline help in the second or through free agency with the drafting of huff. To ignore the line would be a waste of his talent.

4.) Chad Jackson, WR UF - Huh? Assume we ain't got no Moulds and were not able to draft Davis. Trade down and pick up this kid. He is the best wide out in the draft and would be a great value pick if we are able to get an extra second rounder out of the deal. This team has many needs and two pick in the first part of the second and two picks in the first part of the third, along with our first rounder can go along way towards meeting those needs. Imagine 5 new starters out of that group.

5.) I really am not that interested in other picks than the ones above this. If these guys aren't there, I say keep trading down and amass a collection of second and third round picks.

1 - Mario Williams
2 - D'Brickishaw Ferguson
3 - Broderick Bunkley
4 - Haloti Ngata
5 - Michael Huff

Now with that #5 I am so tempted to put in Vernon Davis. That guy impressed me this week at the combine and the fact that a TE can run a 4.3 and can block is amazing. But I stuck with our needs, and not with a fantasy pick.

1. mario williams 4.66 at 295, incredible, he compares well to peppers except he lacks that initial burst that really distinguishes peppers, but still the guy is going to be good
2. bunkley he was awesome against psu in the bowl game. The fact that he added close to 20 pounds for the combine really means nothing, I'd liek to have seen what he weighed in the middle of the season. he is my number 1 dt
3. vernon davis, this guy could be a future hall of fame te, he's as fast as lee evans nuff said
4. deuce latui- he'd be a huge hellp to the interior of that line and his athleticism for hsi size is astounding. the bills would eb able to screen and trap and pull more.
5. donte whitner-after running a 4.40 flat and being a buckeye homer I'd love to see him in a bills uniform

a high motor guy I'd love to have late is kudla also from osu, if nothing more than a special teamer, incredibly strong, never quits and would eb a high character mark pike type guy

My picks change daily. Would be happy with any from this list. Today's picks are:
1) Williams (I'm a big believer in pass rush and he'd make an impact)
2) Brick (proboubly would be our best fit but I would rather have a play maker in Williams)
3) Hawk (just as much chance of him dropping as my #1 and 2--too good to pass up)
4) Bunkley (a perfect fit---may be a reach here)
5) Huff (turnovers)

1. Mario Williams
2. D'Brick
3. Matt Leinart
4. Vernon Davis
5. Trade down for either huff tamba or bunkley

1-3 realisticly wont be there
Vernon Davis in my eyes is the most probable for us right now, He impressed me at the combine.
But with 20 plus mill in cap room we need some serios moves moulds if we can sign him for 7 think about it its like we get him for 2 cause he will cost 5 to cut him so hopefully we get him back but for nowhere near 10. Now Free agency so somehow we sign moulds we have 12-15 left who is our top free agents
1. Drew Brees/ Culpepper
2. Brentson Buckner/ Grady Jackson
3. Steve Hutchinson/Willie Roaf (if dropped) Lecharles Bentley/ Fabini/ or Runyan
4. If moulds is gone a wr and i have to say it T.O. could help but it dont think he would ever come hear or levy Mr. Good player attitude would ever sign him
5. Im not sold on coy wire or everett so a safety or good TE.
