Mario Williams... but no way he's there at 8.

I'll be happy with whoever we take there... on draft day it's a win-win. Unless we make some proposturous reach and grab somebody like Eric Winston, or even Jimmy Williams.

I'd be happy with Mario, D'Brickashaw, AJ Hawk, Huff, Vernon Davis, Ngata, any of the QBs, Reggie Bush, Chad Greenway, Tamba Hali... someone is guaranteed to be there.

For me, after his workout Vernon Davis has jumped to the forefront. I DO NOT under ANY circumstances want to draft Ngata. I think he is overrated. If you would have asked me a week ago I would have still been holding out hope for D'Brick or Super Mario but after the combiner workout and the likely depature of E-Mo, I want Davis!

I would like to get Mario Williams, but that ain't happening. I think we should go defense with our first pick. I am not sold on Ngata. I would like to trade down about 3-6 spots, and take Hali and pick up another 3rd or even a 2nd. I think someone may covet Cuttler enough to trade up with us.

Packers are creaming themselvesover Mario, and w/ good reason. We take a few steps back, pick up Parliament BUNKadelic and an additional 3rd

I had to pick Ferguson becuase he would be a GREAT pick if he acrually "fell" to us at #8 somehow. The DE was also VERY close and would be my second wish to fall. Other than that id trade back if possible just a few spots not WAY back like back to say 10-12 and try to pick up some more picks or get the guy we want there. Nagata is not a good value at #8 overall the TE guy is definately NOT a good value at #8 and is a LUXURY pick...great player but NOT a NEED.

The way things are shaping up up I think the Bills are positioned well to trade down - take Hali/Davis/Kiwikuna(sp) and have an extra 2 or third.

I say jump the packers in the Mario sweepstakes.

Ferfuson is the only one listed that is an actual need.

I would not trade up. If D'Brick or Super Mario are there for the taking at #8 that would be a dream.

Otherwise, I'd trade down about 6-8 spots and take the best DE or DT available.

Overall...A great pass rusher is always best. He sacks, causes fumbles, disrupts QB's into interceptions. O-linemen just protect and push.

Youre missing the point....a Defensive Lineman is not a need....OL is.

You just proved my point, the popular pick doent necessasarily mean its the right pick. And mock drafts, everyone and their brother does one, it means nothing being purely speculation and wishes.

After seing this beast at the combine yesterday9nfl network) I couldnt believe my eyes. This man is a phenomenom. I could visualize him has a faster and stronger, more agile bruce smith. I am praying to god. A DT will be available in the 2nd for sure! Boys, this man is for real!

I can find a fat guy in any round to plug the DL. The OL is in more shambles than the DL.

I disagree. I think they are both bad. The OL and DL I guess if you think giving up 100+ yards rushing every game becuase of a bad DL is "not a need" I guess I really don't understand if you even know what your talking about saying the DL is not a need. the DL could NOT keep guys off the LB's so runners were into the secondary ALL THE TIME. Ol is a BIG need too but to say DL is not a need is CRAZY!

What is overrated about him? Have you seen him play? He'll dominate at the pro level.

Based on our needs, I'd prefer in order:
1. DE Mario Williams
2. OT D'Brickashaw Ferguson
3. DT Broderick Bunkley
4. TE Vernon Davis
5. LB A.J. Hawk

fergie isnt gonna last until us and i wouldnt take williams bc we have a good linebacker crew now we need a run stopping presence in the middle of the DLine

In the bowl game this year it looked like he wasnt even on the field. His weight is questionable and compared to other DT's in the draft some of the more important numbers you look at for a DT are down

Let's take a look:

Ngata:
GP: 12
TFL: 9
Sacks: 3

Bunkley:
GP: 12
TFL: 25
Sacks: 9

Harris
GP: 12
TFL: 11
Sacks: 3.5

Wright
GP: 13
TFL: 13
Sacks: 4.5

Wroten
GP: 12
TFL: 9.5
Sacks: 4.5

If we were to go DT in the 1st I'd rather trade down to the 12-16 range and draft Bunkley. I think he is, besides Mario Williams the next "can't miss" prospect on the D-Line. 8 MAY be a tad high for him, so that's what I wouldn't mind trading down and a gaining an extra pick to someone who is high on Ngata. The rams, although at 11 have expressed intrest in Ngata and I feel could be a potential trading partner, along with the Browns.

I just seen this on KFFL:

Rams | Team meets with Ngata
Sat, 25 Feb 2006 15:40:48 -0800

During his NFL Combine interview, Oregon DT Haloti Ngata said he met with the St. Louis Rams at the Combine.

In any event I can't wait for the draft!

I can find them too. Ron Edwards, Tim Anderson, Lawaylon Brown, Jason Jefferson, Luvale Sape. I can't find an Athlete at 330 who runs a 5.1. I can draft on though.

In the first half of the bowl game it was evident that he got rolled on from the back. The rest of the bowl game it was evident he was game planned for. Name ONE, O.N. E other Oregon duck. It's easy when you got linemates. LSU had a solid D, Texas shut down USC, and FSU struck fear into the hearts of opposers. Oregon? They got Ngata.

I don't know but It makes me sick to my stomach watching the Bills getting run all over about every game. I'd have to go with DE Mario Williams or a DT. But you often get pretty decent linemen in the later rounds what about a QB?

O-linemen just protect and push.

the offensive Line is equal or even more important then the any skill position on offense. You cannot move the football consistently with a sloppy OL

I voted for a trade down. I'm thinking of Brodrick Bunkley who had a great combine. He's bigger than his college playing weight, and is the best pass rushing DT in the draft, something that will be at a premium in the defense we expect the Bills will be playing this fall. I didn't vote for Mario Williams because I just can't see him falling to # 8 after his monster combine. I mean, he combines Reggie White size and strength with Bruce Smith quickness and speed. 6'7" 295 and a 4.66 40 Are you kidding me? How is anyone ever going to block him?

They do more than that. They also get a seal here, and a seal here.
