Mel Kiper stated that an early rumor at the combine is that the Bills have been putting out feelers for possible trade partner to move up and grab D'Brick.

Take it for what its worth its only a rumor and its from Kiper so who Knows

I Think its a strong possibility.I just watched the interview portion of the combine for Brick, and he is very mature, articulate and well grounded.I think he will only get better, and will fit our system well.A Big part of Fat Mikes problem was that he was a head case and immature.Brick is not that guy.
I would applaude Marv if he get's this done.

I agree I thought D'brick sounded pretty good in his media session

Kiper's got nothing on the war room. You heard that possibility here (http://www.buffalorange.com/showthread.php?t=83634) first. ;)

Trading up to get him is not for the Bills. We have too many holes to fill to give up 2 draft picks in the first 3 rounds to trade up. Peters and Gandy are not all that bad. We would be much better shape if we picked up a veteran OG or center (Hutchinson, Guorde, Bently?) and then drafted offensive line guards (one of the top 3)/centers(top player unless last year's rookie is ready)/offensive tackle (one of the top 3). Trading down would give us 5 picks in the first 3 rounds and this could be two offensive linemen, two defensive linemen and a linebacker or CB.

Trading up is EXACTLY what the Bills need to do to get an offensive lineman. That would fill another DIRE need with the losses of Teague and Williams.

This would also prevent us from making a colossal mistake by drafting Ngata... I am ALL for that move. Pure genius.

If Marv is absolutly sure that this buy will be an Orlando Pace type player and anchor our line for the next 10 years, then by all means do it.

Yeah and we wanted Rothlesburger too but even the Wheeler- Dealer Donahoe couldn't get it done so what makes us think that anyone will jepardize their own position by letting us move ahead of the Jets at No.4 to get Ferguson ???

I think it all depends on the Jets

If they pick Cutler then I think the Bills(along w/ about 10 other teams) are going to start making offers to move up to grab D'Brick/Mario.

I dont think the Bills have a realistic shot of trading ahead of the Jets or w/ the Jets. Tenn may want to go down hoping that Cutler or Young falls to them at #8 but they are going to want alot

Make no mistake about either for people who want this trade. It is more than likely going to cost alot and we wont be the only teams bidding

How are we going to trade up if we don't know who is drafted ahead of him? He might fall to us or NO/Tennesee might take him. Too many questions until draft day. He would be nice on the left side though.

This isnt a trade that would be made before the draft

but they could just be asking around to see and get a feel for what teams would want to move up

This would give them more time to consider a move instead of doing it all on draft day.

I dont forsee us making a move up before the draft

I love the idea of Ferguson and Peters, 2 athletic freaks, as the bookends of our OLine, sign a physical, nasty FA guard and this OLine would be 100% better than last year.
