Rumor has it that the Darko experiment is over in Detroit.

Proposed trade is Darko Milicic and Carlos Arroyo to Orlando for Kelvin Cato and a 1st rounder. Only thing holding it up is the lottery protection of the 1st rounder.

This Darko trades a joke, who the hell would want him? I can't believe he got selected before Carmelo Anthony! I understand the logic, but now that I look at it...who the hell cares if you already had a wing, trade Carmelo for other players. LOL, but hindsight is 20/20

The Detroit Pistons traded forward-center Darko Milicic and point guard Carlos Arroyo to the Orlando Magic for Kelvin Cato and a 2007 first-round pick, ESPN.com learned Wednesday.

It is confirmed


hahaha just to think that the Pistons could have 'Melo, and to think how dominant they'd be...Darko, what a waste of a pick

I think Darko has a shot to be productive in the NBA he just was unfortunate to have gotten barried on a deep Pistons team and for some reason L.Brown did not trust him

Newest rumor in Detroit is that Dumars is looking to see if he can trade Cato & the 1st for Mike James. Dumars said that the Pistons would need to get a PG if the Darko & Arroyo trade transpired.

The Pistons could have flipped a coin and come up with any of the next three players drafted and could have been winners

Melo - Bosh - Wade.

Although, I think that Darko could turn out to be a good contributor - playing with Howard.

I hate Darko as much as anyone, but if they drafted either Melo or Wade things could have turned out differently. They have the best starting five not because each guy is so talented, but because they fit well with each other and have played long enough together that they have a great rappore with one another. A guy like Melo and Wade although talented could have disrupted the team chemisty and then who knows what would happen.

I'm sure if the Pistons could do it all over again they would still skip on Melo and Wade but instead of Darko they would draft Bosh. Both Wallaces are now over 30 so it won't be too long before there play starts to slip. Bosh would have been on the bench like Darko, but he would have been getting McDyses' minutes and once Rasheed's contract ran up he would be let go and Bosh would step in.
