View Full Version : We miss Connolly on the PP

We really miss Connolly on the power play. Last night, Drury couldn't get
the job done on the left side of the boards like Timmy can. It's awesome
when Connolly mesmerizes an opponent with his flashy stick handling and
floats one back to Kotalik for a wicked one-timer. When he comes back, the
power play will kill opposing teams. But in the mean time, I'm not sure if we can keep up the winning without Timmay in the lineup. Let's hope we can. Wow, it just hit me. Would anyone dare say such a comment about Connolly before this season ? Weird.

What should our first line power play look like when Connolly and Briere both come back ? Connolly, Briere, Drury, Kotalik (D), and Campbell ? Maybe throw Vanek in there on the first unit instead of .... who ??? It's nice to have these kind of problems ! hehheh

Sort of weird. Connolly goes and the PP goes south. Dumont comes back and 5 on 5 picks up. We get Connolly and Briere back and both may start producing. :twocents:

How is that weird? Connolly's been our 2nd or 3rd best player this year.

After the Olympics, we get him and Briere back.....sweet.

Connolly is too soft, he make one great play every 20 games or so. I don't trust him in a tight situation.

i can only imagine what kind of tear this team will be on when we get out of the olympic break. brier will be back(is connelly supposed to be?) and this team is gonna start ripping it up, even more so than now. yeah, we havent had a great power play like before, but even w/o that we're winning. just means we'll win by more when timmy's back.
