Yep, they (newspapers, radio, internet) keep calling him a rookie and at TSN.ca, he's on their "rookie of the year watch". Or was it canoe.ca ?
And yes, Miller is the best goalie in the league right now.
That freakin' shootout was freakin' awesome to freakin' watch !

haha ralonzo, thats a cool find. If miller is eligible and he stays this hot the rest of the way she should get the calder.

Sorry, no way Miller gets the calder over Ovechkin. Ovechkin is running away with it but Crosby will get all the Canadian votes, so it may end up close.

well i just like the fact that he is a key part to a winning team, i never liked it when A-rod got MVP on the rangers.

He's worth mentioning no doubt, but I suspect it will come down to Sid the Squid, er kid, and A.O.

Not that he plays like DOM.......but you know what....he is that type of goalie that quietly plays great.....and when the game is over, you realize what a talented tender he is.........
I loved when he threw the puck away after he made glove save after Sens' first shootout attempt....... It was like.....in your face.....
I know there is a lot of season left.......but I am psyched to see what this version of the Sabes can do in the playoffs....
Beating Ottawa was so important tonight.....

If not the calder he has to be up there for the Vezina.

This season is beginning to remind me of...*gasp* knock on wood...our Stanley Cup season. Miller IS playing like Dom right now, the Dom we had when we went to the Finals. He's completely changed from his early days of semi-headcaseness. He is so solid and so confident in his own ability...and that ability is among the best in the league, if not THE best. He's going to be a top 3 goalie in this league year in and year out. The kid was by far the best goaltending prospect to come out in the past 10 years and he is living up to that potential. And he's still fricken YOUNG. The kid should DEFINITELY be up for Calder, but likely will lose to the two "flashy goalscorers" but I think right now, Miller is having an MVP Heart Trophy kind of year (could end up going to Jagr) and he's a definite Vezina candidate, along with Hasek.

As a another goalie, throwing the puck out of your glove is a good way to do that, but personally I felt he did that because his momentum would've carried him and the puck into the net had he held on. I'm not sure if that would be ruled a goal but I'm glad we didn't find out.

nah, he did it totally on purpose. i have no problem with it, it was not that cocky or arrogant, adrenaline was flowing. There was no way that puck was going to go over the line, he did it to make a point.

We've seen him do that a few times this year. He just gets into a zone and is UNSTOPPABLE!! Its a little bit showboating. I remember he did it in regulation during the Toronto game.
