Does it really matter? I mean its not like UB would have been any good anyway...
But that schedule sucks.

But UB has a shot in the MAC games. They are probably going to be pretty banged up trying to play with the likes of Auburn, West Virginia, and Boston College.
I guess the football team has lost some major bucks the last few years and the athletic department is trying to make most of those dollars back in one year. The problem is that it will likely come at those kids expense. They could have some guys get seriously hurt, those are boys playing against men!

Listen...I'm a OSU buckeye fan.. but I support UB......hometown team
they NEED to play a tough scheddy..There is no sense in pertending...they wanna be big time, they want consideration ... they need to play, and beat/upset somebody... they need to make a name for themsleves'
They may get beat, but they need to have legit teams on the schedule.... every time they win a gme they shouldn't its a plus...

It would be sweet to see UB take down like WVU or Auburn..

I would rather see them lose to Auburn or BC then a I-AA team.

If they want to be a serious Division-I program, they have to start scheduling games like that.
More than anything, it's for recruiting purposes. Those games will at the very least put their name out there. And if they happen to stay close in one of them (or even win), they'll get good exposure in places they never would have.

Living five minutes from the stadium I always shake my head when I go by, it would be nice for them to play some toughies. They'll get killed, but they will see first hand what a real team is about, it's sad when the best opponent they play is the likes of Syracuse, U Conn, Rutgers, or the MAC winner.
When Penn State was small Joe Pa would schedule tough opponents and he would study all the big schools. Look what happened there. The scoreboard may induce wrist slashing, but they will learn from playing the likes of those schools.
