Wow, I don't know how many people caught this, but both DuMont and Pyatt were on the ice in the final minute of the game last night. Lindy is showing an amazing sense of confidence in all his players this year. To have those two guys on the ice in crunch time at the end of the game really shows something about Ruff and what he thinks of his players. Putting guys in situations to succeed is really rubbing off.

It would be real hard not to acknowledge the performances of a lot of our current Sabres who may very well be on to something very special. This team continues to impress and to provide a great deal of moxy! W.N.Y. is talking proud again and this time its our Sabres providing the pleasure.

same with pominville, i mentioned this a few months ago, i love how Ruff just throws the guys in the fire right off the bat. Pominville was on the ice at the end of lastnights agame and on the PP in his first game after being called up. Makes the young guys feel like they are really part of the team.

He was rewarding those who played hard for him with the EN opportunities. He does that quite often. Dumont was throwing his body around and Pyatt was showing he belongs yet again.

Pyatt was good his first game back and near perfect his second game. His return is a HUGE bump to the team. Paille was a good placeholder, but he is smaller, slower, and less offensively/defensively talented than Pyatt.
Dumont still looks a bit rusty, but he had some good chances last night.
I didn't think anything of Jason Pominville before the season, but wow. What a find by Darcy and crew.

Yeah, definitely got to give props to the scouting department and Darcy for grabbing some reeeeeeally good players the past couple of years.

I think the biggest thing beyond the talent they have acquired is the heart and character of those same players. This team is resiliant and spunky.

Yep must be nice to have some PROMISING youth in your hockey organization.
