Prank Calling Players

OK guys, I need you to help me resolve a disagreement.

On a college bball board, someone posted the hotel room number for one of the visiting team's star players and encouraged people to prank call his room in the middle of the night. I, like a few others, see this as a harmless act that isn't hurting anyone. If it makes you feel better to do this fine. On the other hand, a lot of people and the visiting team's fans are getting their panties in a bunch saying it's classless etc.

What do you guys think?

I personally wouldnt do it, but think its pretty funny. If the player is smart, after a while, he'll just unplug his phone. Im sure visiting players of sports teams have been through alot worse. I know that when the Flyers played the Sabres in the playoffs the one year, one of the local radio stations was telling people to beep in the early morning hours when they go by or are around the hotel they are staying in. That was funny too.
