I miss the "old guard" Big East coaches

Boeheim and Calhoun are the the only ones left. Although Calhoun came to UConn after the league was formed and Boeheim has been at Syracuse since the league's inception. And of course Pitino is back now because Louisville is in the new BE.

Consider the coaches this league had in the late 80's........

Rick Pitino

Rick Barnes

Am I leaving anyone out?

Those were some great days. The players were great, but the coaches were almost as equally entertaining to watch.

Calhoun doesn't count, the heyday of the BE was Louie, hompson, Boehiem, Rollie PJ. I can't even count Pitiono since he ws there for such a short period of time.
