I have been away for 19 years. Is it true that Buffalo and Erie county continue to be bankrupt financially and have been so for some time thus relying on the state to float them? If so there is a follow up question coming.

well they are run by a control board so thats never a good sign. the only way western NY will ever see improvement in my opinion is if NY state is split between NYC and upstate.

Okay, Mark, Isn't that like a "receivership" like in business? If the state held the region in receivership, wouldn't they be forced to try to attract businesses via very lucrative incentives to get the region bailed out? Is there such a thing?

well you would think the state would try and do everything it could to do those things but here in NY you have the downstate vs upstate thing and since downstate is doing well the politicians from the nyc region really seem to care less if buffalo and rochester fail.

that is why unless theres a split I would have to say the outlook for the region is going to stay as is.

how long has the bass pro been talked about? thats how things go in WNY lots of talk little to no results.
