nice to dream but we just defeated a 83 million bond for our local schools. No way will a 785 million bond pass not now not ever.

It is long past time we get past these piecemeal school districts in WNY and move towards more centralized school districts like they have in other states.

this is just crazy . We need to keep costs down not throw more money raise taxes and force more companies out of town.

Isn't that what Mayor Johnson wanted? From the little that I know about centralized school districts it sounds good.

I thought the NYS lottery was to eliminate these type of needs.... (wink)

There are tons of costs in education in NY. Taxes only go so far but there is no way that they get the money they are asking for.

true that was untill the state began using the lottery money to subsidize the rest of the state budget lol.

true but you have the worst people at making and keeping a state budget here. For one thing the legislature can not stop giving themselves a raise every year. If they even had to live with a wage freeze like eastman Kodak imposed for like 10 years plus they would probably take the bridge.
