you should send Jim Tressel a thank you card, his typical conservative second half play calling was the only chance you ever had.

Part of the problem I have with college football is the long layoff between the regular season finale and the bowls. One team usually comes out and is way off their game. In some cases (OU/FSU national title game in January '01) both teams come out and play horrid football because of the layoff.
Notre Dame certainly didn't look ready to play today. I believe the layoff had something to do with it.

What a job Charlie Weis did this season! Just think if Donahue was willing to wait for the Superbowl to end a few years ago, we wouldnt be in this problem.

an even lamer excuse than i thought you would come up with.
Before the game all we hears is how "prepared" ND would be because of the Genius that is Charlie freakin Wiess.
The difference in the two teams was physical. OSU was bigger, faster and stronger.

Congrats to Ohio State! ND's biggest weakness all season was its defense and the Buckeyes showed them up. Give Weis credit though, the Irish have been crap for a long time now, and he made them competitive with top 10 schools using the same crappy talent. Weis will fix the D, especially the secondary, and ND will win the national championship within 5 years.

Charlie finally got one wrong with going for it on forth down. Granted the three would not have mattered. Maybe if they could have gotten the first down and put the ball in the endzone, it would have been a different game. Good job Ohio State.

ND could have practiced 8 hours a day til the day before the game and OSU would have still won.... OSU has just as much offense as ND and a much better D.....

Whatever you say.
Alll I know is that within 5 years I'll be celebrating another National Title in South Bend while Buckeyes fans are crying about being on probation because of guys like Jim Tressel and Maurice......

They certainly did yesterday. Their offense is far from explosive however.

400 yards in the first half isn't explosive....?
400 total yards from your QB isn't explosive?
136 and a TD from your RB isn't?
13 catches for 291 and and two TD's from your top two WR's ...?
Over 34 points in 6 of our last 7 games......
You haven't been paying attention....ND got off lucky last night that they weren't embarassed further... couple bad bounces go our way and its a blowout....

And everyone outside of the OSU family wonders why they have become the most hated program in college football.
I don't.

I'd say Notre Dame is very hated- they think they are god's gift to the world and all of college football.
this guy summed it up pretty well.
Maybe it’s their arrogance that blinds them to the reality of their misguided devotion. In fact, it’s not a football team they exalt, but an image of greatness, or in this case, their ego that needs to be fed victories – by any means.
