That's what's being reported.
Supposedly, Gill interviewed with UB Athletics Director Warde Manuel on Monday at a site off campus.
That would be an interesting hire if it happened.

Turner Gill
Director of Player Development/Offensive Assistant
Turner Gill, a veteran college football coach and former college football standout, in 2005 enters his first season in Green Bay, as well as his initial season in the NFL.
As director of player development, Gill assists with helping players become acclimated to their roles as Green Bay Packers, both on and off the field, especially in terms of their expected contributions to their teammates, the community and team chemistry.
Gill also oversees the Packers' wide range of programs designed to meet the needs of the players and their families in today's National Football League, providing a framework of assistance within which players and their immediate family members can address the pressures created by daily life and complicated by the demands of playing professional football. Gill assists players in taking full advantage of the NFL's many offerings, including those dealing with financial advice, continuing education and professional internships aimed at preparing players for careers when their playing days are over. He also works in conjunction with the Packers' community relations and family programs departments.
On the field, Gill lends his coaching experience by assisting with the tutoring of Green Bay's wide receivers.
Gill spent the last 13 seasons at Nebraska, where he coached two first-team All-Americans (Tommie Frazier and Eric Crouch), one of whom won the Heisman (Crouch), and helped the Huskers to three national championships.
After an outstanding playing career as the school's quarterback, Gill coached that position from 1992-2003 under Tom Osborne and Frank Solich, then coached receivers in 2004 under Bill Callahan. Solich promoted Gill to assistant head coach before the '03 campaign. During his tenure in Lincoln, he built a strong reputation as one of the nation's top recruiters.
Gill, 43, worked two seasons as a graduate assistant, originally returning to Nebraska in 1989, then moving in 1991 to Southern Methodist, where he worked mainly with the receivers. Gill began coaching in 1990 as a volunteer assistant at North Texas.
Like Packers receiver Javon Walker, Gill played minor league baseball. He spent three years (1986-88) in the Cleveland and Detroit farm systems before launching his coaching career.
A Heisman finalist himself when teammate Mike Rozier won the honor in 1983, Gill went 28-2 as Nebraska's starting quarterback from 1981-83, including a 20-0 conference mark. His football-playing career ended after two seasons (1984-85) with the CFL's Montreal Concordes, whom he led to consecutive playoff berths as their starting signal-caller.
Born Aug. 13, 1962, in Fort Worth, Texas, he and his wife, Gayle, reside in Green Bay with their daughters Jordan, 15, and Margaux, 10. In his spare time, Gill enjoys spending time with his family and playing golf.
