Anyone ever been there before? The house we're trying to buy is located less than 1 mile away. I heard good things about it but don't know anyone that knows that area well. Thanks in advance.

It's a nice area. good schools I've heard. The park itself is extensive. Recent cutbacks have curtailed the hours of operation for the sledding hill. They cut the hours that staffing (supervision) is available, but of course it's rather hard top close a snow covered hill, and nothing's being enforced.

I used to have a blast sledding there as a kid....long runs, one was like 100% ice...you could get moving....

And living by a park is never a bad thing.....

I have yet to see chutes that top the ones at CR. A true treasure.

Chestnut ridge is a great park. It's big and has several amazing trails. I go at least once a year for sleding or hiking and never get tired of it.
