Anyone notice Leighton was number 50 (white) against the Islanders and number 49 (red) against the Habs? I wonder if they just have some extra jerseys lying around and you wear whatever is available.

I'm pretty sure they carry #50 with the team at all times as an extra goalie jersey on the road in case of emergency. Then they only have to slap a nameplate on it.

Leighton wears #49 in Rochester, and that's probably the number he wants.

Mika is ready - he will be the starter or backup to Biron at Washington on Sunday. Leighton was sent back down after last nights game and played this afternoon for the Amerks - lost 2-0 at Albany.
