This is a tight division. After the losing streak, the Sabres are only 8 pts out of first (Rangers) and 7 out of 2nd (Ottawa).

As great as Ottawa and the Rangers have played, there is no clear runaway team right now.

A win tonight and they could be as high as 5th in the conference.

yeah, its a safe bet to put ottawa ahead of the rangers...they've got 6 games in hand on them...

after ottawa, i'd say that just about everybody except for was and fla have a shot...and i'd put atl, pit, (and nj/bos right now) on the outside looking in...
