Alot of finheaveners have been drunk with glee since an article in one of the Florida papers stated the phins could be as much as 25 million dollars under the cap next year and now their discussing every FA under the sun they can bring in next year to improve the team. What these homers/dumb*****
fail to realize is this article came out before

1)Randy McMichael got his contract extension
2) Aj Feeley trade; signing bonus accerelation?
3)The phins would have to cut a number of players to get close to being that much under the cap

Also does Ronnie Brown have a roster bonus due to him, and if so, that would cut into that surplus? Also any players cut, signing bonus acceralations added to the 2006 salary cap as dead space?

Take all this into consideration finfans when your spending your Friday and Saturday nights scouring the FA lists breathlessly speculating which FA your Front Office will bring in. Anyways this whole exercise is a waste of time if Miss Cleo Lemon is your starting QB next year.

I think they will be in for a shock next year just like we were this past year when we thought we would be under the cap by 14 mil and it ended up being somthing like 7 mil

We should also run an over/under on how long it takes them to figure out that most teams next year are going to have alot more cap space b/c the salary cap is set to take a pretty big jump b/c of the CBA

In this article, Jay Glazer of Fox Sports discusses the 5 teams that are projected to be the most "under" the cap. Nowhere are the dolphins mentioned. In fact on another fins message board, a so called "capologist" said as of now, the FINS are going to be $5million dollars over a projected cap of $90 million. This stupid reporter from the Miami Herald(Whose name I won't mention) erroneously speculated " well if the phins cut this guy, and that guy, blah, blah, blah, blah.". Bottom line this writer grossly overestimated how much the phins will be under the cap, and you have all these fin fans under the wrong impresiion: salivating?b**ting off to every FA under the sun for next year.
