Then he lit up a big fat cuban last night. The teams looking goaltending help just keep losing.....badly. At some point even Pittsburgh is going to have to start looking because their netminders are coming up short. Fleury got yanked last night. With so much need out there, and Darcy holding out, you have to think that Biron is now the one he wants to move.

There are plenty in need of a goaltender - Garnett sure doesn't give Atlanta a ton of Confidence.

Maybe Marty for Bondra...

So the only way they would get Biron is for a current player with close to the same salary.

Which is why the Thrashers want Noronen....Which means Regier probably really wants to trade Biron, which is why nothing has happend yet.

It makes a lot more sense to have Biron dressed, and have his name plate in the locker room so that it seems that he's too valuable to give up.

If Marty was the guy you never see, the guy sitting in a box with a suit on, it would appear he was the worst of the three, with that over paying salary.

So they make a deal dumping salary with someone else. Or we take some other player.

Noronen for Exelby. Mika makes about $20k/year more than Exelby. Thrashers get a good goalie, which is exactly what they need, and we pick up a rock-solid defenseman, which is exactly what we need.

In the past I've liked Exelby but he has not played very well this year..... at least no better than the Sabes 5th or 6th d-man. He seems to be having trouble with the speed of the game.
