Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the yankees, but i am not a fan of Steinbrenner at all. First it was Zim, now its Mel and potentially Torre. Mel made some good comments in this article, and really showed the kind of guy that George is.

This will be a wild off-season for the Yankees. Not only are they facing some personal decisions but there is a power struggle going on within.

The Diamondbacks are expected to interview outgoing Yankees pitching coach Mel Stottlemyre. While he technically may be under contract, Stottlemyre already has resigned from his Yankees position.
