I know Arod produced brilliantly during the season, but lets be serious, I was thoroughly offended by his display in the ALDS.

I was sooo pumped when Jeter got on to lead off the 9th, I thought they had it...and up comes Arod, grounds into a double play, and walks off like its nothing. Did anyone else notice that? He
had no emotions as he walked off, as normal. Its starting to bug me.

It seems like Arod thinks hes too good to hustle it out all the time and to show emotion after he screws up like he did there...anyone else agree?

a-rod has yet to perform well in his playoff stint with the yankees, which is where it counts, including a mediocre 2 for 17 this year in the ALDS (with no rbi's), All this after his subpar performnace in last year's ALCS; we all know how that went.

Dating back to the alcs against the sox in 2004, arod is batting under .200 in the playoffs.

Thanks for giving me another laugh A-Rod, because at bats like that one in Anaheim are why they pay you the big bucks.

So my question to you: is he really worth the 252 million dollars?

nobody's worth that money but like I heard on the radio today the only reason you hear that is b/c he doesn't produce in the clutch. How many times do you hear about Jeter's 19 mil a year? Never, b/c he also steps up in the clutch.

arod .133 batting average in the playoffs, if you cant hit when it counts you dont deserve mvp or a world series, any team who has someone who bats .133 in their lineup isnt going to get very far

Don't fear Yankees fans. I talked to Joe Torre today, and he told me that starting with this upcoming season (assuming New York makes the playoffs) one of these will be posted in A-Rod's locker:

Actually, I though he did show a little emotion - grabbing his helmet and pulling it off.

I think he does care - I think he does want to produce. But he didn't this year. I recall that he was pretty good against the Red Sox last year in the first three games, and then did nothing for the next four.

Clearly his post season record is not good.
