The Buffalo at TB game was awesome!
Buffalo dominated the entire game, outshot TB 33 to 18 at the end of overtime...they were up 2-1 with about 30 seconds to go when TB tied it up.
The shootout went to 11 SHOOTERS! Man that was FUN!!!
Thomas Vanek was awesome...Max had some great chances too...and TB's goalie, John Grahame, really stood on his head.
Anyone else get to listen to it? I had to listen on a TB radio webcast and missed the 1st period, but the rest of the game was extremely entertaining.
Man am I pumped up right now! Sabres are 4-and-1 in preseason and they're really playing well right now!

I just read about that. Sounded fun, the only thing was that we had almost our whole team out there while they gave St. Louis, Richards, Lecavalier, and Andreychuk the night off. Tampa Bay only managed 16 shots on Biron the whole game. Thats definitely a preseason squad, the real Tampa team would have ran over our defense. It is exciting to have hockey back for sure. I just ordered center ice and I'm pumped!

As soon as teams start to solidify their rosters, we'll start to see how buffalo can really compete.
Biron let a goal in with only a few seconds remaining and let 2 in on 16 shots. I'm going to guess that he is still behind Miller in the battle for #1.

My question is why the shootout went so long. I thought the rules said you started "sudden death" after the 3rd penalty shot. According to the Sabres site, there were goals scored after that...
And yeah yeah yeah woulda coulda shoulda, we're winning and playing well in preseason and that should lend needed confidence to the team once the battle begins for real.

It's sudden death, but round to round. Kind of like overtime in college football. If the teams are still tied after each round, it keeps going.

I thought the goal of the shootout was to get the game over quicker than with an extended sudden death.
