View Full Version : Some controversy, huh?!

All any Bills fan talked about was Flutie vs. RJ last winter. Results:

RJ looks like a lost puppy and then shows his injury-prone ways by taking too many stupid hits and finally succumbing to injury. Failure.

Flutie looks like the 40 year-old that he is as he and the Chargers fade into nothing. Failure.

Both the Bills and Chargers finish last in their divisions. Failure.

Bottom line: RJ and DF both sucked this year. Neither is an answer in the NFL. They both lead to more questions for their teams, and both lead to failure at this juncture in their careers.

We all wasted that much energy discussing a couple of scrub QB's and bad teams! Time to face reality and get over the nonsense, huh!

But Brees will be better next year. Better to not throw him to the wolves this year. Meanwhile, SD won more games this year than last. Buffalo should have used that strategy. Better yet, use it for next season. Keep AVP and draft a new QB.

Bogus, too bad Brees won't be able to play next year. Butler runs the show in SD and I don't see him changing his mind in starting Brees. Butler single handidly cost Riley's job by insisting that he start Flutie even when Flutie lost like 7 straight games. I feel sorry for the poor sap thats SD coach next year with Butler telling him to start Flutie, and not Brees.

Butler was a good scout - that's about it. He inherited a great coach and a great team. When the going got bad he got going. I think the guy is a jerk! If he does stick with Doug and Doug doesn't produce - they'll both be gone - the Spanos family wants a winner and won't put up with it.
