They just showed Man-Ram's info. He has won a batting title, a HR title, and the RBI total. Who else has done that in their career, other than the natural winners.

The Red Sox plan to shop outfielder Manny Ramirez this winter, and have talked about sending Ramirez to the Mets for Carlos Beltran...

The Sox talked to the Mets around the trade deadline about trading Manny for Carlos Beltran, and they are expected to talk more about it during the offseason. So Beltran could play Centerfield if Damon doesn't get resigned. Beltran would be awesome at Fenway. When he played for the Astros last year, playing all his home game at Minute Maid Park, where they have a very short Left field fence(315 feet) during the second half really helped him and he hit 23 HR's in just 90 games with them.

Carlos Delgado on Tuesday became the ninth player in baseball history with nine consecutive seasons of 30 or more homers. According to one report, Delgado may be trying to extend that streak elsewhere next season. In his ESPN Insider column, Peter Gammons suggested that if the Marlins do not make the playoffs the organization's financial losses would force them to trade Delgado. In addition, he mentioned the Marlins would seek to move him to the Mets before they could strike a deal for Boston's Manny Ramirez. Because at that same point Sox are interested in rolling out a lucrative Manny/Beltran deal. Delgado said he heard the report reiterated on ESPN Tuesday night. Asked about that scenario before Wednesday's game, team President David Samson rolled his eyes and snickered.

Carlos Delgado is a career .246 hitter in 73 games at Fenway Park

Carlos Beltran in 19 games bats at .325 at the Fens

Yea that was clutch

The only other 2 I can remember off hand was the HR off Wickman and the one off Curt to tie the Sox's then Giambi won it later. I also remember some big hits against the Mets and one against the Rays but I cant remember the situations

Now that we're completely off topic, the beef I have with ARod is he performs outstanding in games where it's not really "clutch". Minus the games you/I listed. He had that monster game vs. Colon, that was nice. But it seems like he piles on when we don't need it. I would rather him do nothing vs. the weaker teams, and totally killed the Red Sox. But that just hasn't happened.

I agree, and I think he is coming around though and finally starting to feel good in the pinstripes. Like you said he still has to prove himself in big spots against the Sox's and in the Playoffs.

So is there any other career TC winners? The only one I could think of is possibly Mattingly, or maybe Eddie Murray? Not sure of either, just tossing names out. Mattingly probably didn't win HR crown, but I thought he may have been close the yr he hit all those GS.

Since you are back on topic, Babe Ruth is one answer. He never won a true triple crown, believe it or not . . .

Come to think of it, Joe Dimagio is another career triple crown guy who never won a true triple crown . . .

I just looked up Eddie Murray - he never led the league in average. He finished second once, but never led.

I just tried Willie mays too - he never led the league in RBI - finished 2nd in 1962 with 141 . . .
