From ESPN.com...

D-Backs thought their Wells deal was all but done

David Wells is close to returning to the New York Yankees, spurning an offer from World Series champion Arizona to rejoin the team he never wanted to leave.
Diamondbacks general manager Joe Garagiola Jr. said that Wells' agent, Gregg Clifton, told him that the pitcher had agreed to a deal with the Yankees. Just last week, Clifton said he was "85 percent" sure Wells would sign with the Diamondbacks.

Here we go again, a team wants someone, the Yankees come in at the last second and steal him. This is why I hate the Yankees.

It isn't the yanks fault Az did not tie up the deal when they had the chance. If they wanted the deal done they could have found someone to give him a physical.

Dophins suck

You can have that fat over weight bad back cancer if you want him, I was prayoing that the DBacks wouldnt sign him. He has been a cancer in the locker room since day one.

The Yankees will try and buy a championship but the DBacks will break out the whooping stick, again!

BWAHAHAHA
The 38-year-old Wells was 5-7 with a 4.47 ERA in 16 starts for the Chicago White Sox this year. His season was cut short because of back surgery and he still needs to pass a physical before his deal with the Yankees is completed.

Stankees? Someone smells lame.

Wells is getting what he wants, to be a Yankee again.
This just proves that even though the D'backs won the 2001 World Series, the Yankees are still America's team, and the team to beat.

:D Yankee fan!!!
