What are your favorites? I am bringing coastal the following when we meet up at the Tampa game. I can get them down here from a local Bufalo-owned importer.
Chivetta's BBQ Marinade
Salen's Hot Dogs
Frank's Hot Sauce
Weber's Mustard.
Ted's Hot Sauce
Can anyone think of anything else? Let me know. Coastal? (Don't worry, I'll pay the nickel on this one. It is called comaderie amongst Bills fans and fellow Buffalonians)
Coach. If you want some too then let me know. I'll get to you at the tailgate. Don't be shy now coach.
What foods from Buffalo do you really love?

Without question, it's Beef on Weck.
I can emulate Wings, and Ted's Hot Dogs, even Mighty Taco (more or less) but you can't fake a Beef on Weck. You need to have the Kimelwick roll, and you can't really ship one anywhere.
The best I've been able to do is roast the prime rib with Rock salt, and caraway seed, and use a traditional roll and add horsehradish.
In any event anything I create is just not the same without being surrounded by Bills fans. :(

When we lived in CA my Dad would bring back Kimelwick rolls back whenever he vistited here.
Our Xmas care package was always raw pepperoni, plus orange and sponge candy.

I have had authentic mexican food (in Mexico City) and Mighty Taco is NOT mexican at all. But damn are their tacos and burritos tasty!

* The Garbage Plate from Nick Tahou's in Rochester
* Dinosaur Barbecue Sauce from Syracuse

I love mustard and I think Weber's is a great mustard.
Aside from that, here's some "Buffalo" food I just ate...
I just picked up some ground buffalo from Publix, seasoned it with fresh ground pepper, salt and garlic powder, made patties out of em, cooked em' to a perfect medium in the cast iron, toasted wheat hamburger rolls, melted some sharp cheddar on the burgers, painted ketchup on one bun and mayo on the other (not too much of either)...
unfrieking believable.
The REAL Sabres

Cheers. To friends. Can you get Blue down there? It's imported from Canada daily.
As far as food...
Bison chip dip
original Pizza Logs
Icelandic fish
(the pierogis mentioned by sue) Nowinski's or Redlinski's
Spud Buddy potatoes
and, of course
Miller's Horsey Sauce

In 1990 we were in for a boys weekend Sabres/Penguins Friday and the Bills/Jets on Sunday. We stayed at the Lenox & our quest was to walk down Delaware to the Aud to a Sabres game from the hotel one Friday afternoon & we ran straight into happy hour.
We made it to the game by the second intermission. I think my buddy threw up in someone's purse at the game. We were a mess. Afterwards over to that Irish pub across from the Hilton and I brought this Polish dental student named Lisa from UB back to the Lenox.
In any case, we came back to this brick bar you speak of the next night & you mentioning the cases of OV splits with ice brings back memories. Cold beer, some nice tight college chicks back to the Lenox with us...the kind of night where legends are made :D

What can I tell you, Merk? It was the late '70s and we were legal at 18 with not a lot of bucks. It was the closest thing to liquid dope.
Then I tried Old English 800 and Colt .45s and found out what real horse piss was all about.

August 20th, 2005, 10:28:05 AM
They were a Canadian outfit, and they're back
http://thepopshoppe.com/flash_site/main.html
OUR HISTORY
1969
The Pop Shoppe is born.
Two business-types from London, Ontario have a good idea; start making pop and sell it out of their own stores, called "The Pop Shoppe". This way they lose any middlemen and can sell it for a great price.
Wait, it gets better.
The returnable glass bottles ('stubbies') come in a red plastic case of 24. But, unlike the competition, you get to mix and match. Some of the original flavours were: Lime Ricky, Black Cherry, Sparkle Up and Festival Dry.
1972
The Pop Shoppe is a hit, and growing fast. By now they've opened 14 outlets in Ontario, and can't keep the Pop in stock. So they get help by selling to a big Toronto venture company. The future looks bright. And tasty.
1975
The Pop Shoppe keeps on growing. They now have stores in 11 US cities
They also get a new slogan: "You'll find our plants all over the country… never our Bottles". They're even saving the planet. Amazing.
1976
Eddie Shack joins The Pop Shoppe! (For those of you who aren't hockey buffs, Eddie Shack is a hockey legend. He played on the Toronto Maple Leafs for six seasons with someone else you might have heard of... Tim Horton).
1977
Sales of The Pop Shoppe hit 1 million bottles per day.
Captain Pop Shoppe (a cartoon Super Hero) and hockey star Henri Richard join The Pop Shoppe's team.
1978
The owner of the Edmonton Oilers, Peter Pocklington tries to buy The Pop Shoppe. No dice. The Pop Shoppe rolls on, but sales in the US are slowing down.
1983
After a few years of slow sales, The Pop Shoppe shares stop being traded on February 3rd. It's a sad day. Although head office is no longer, some Pop Shoppes stay around, but close over the next few years.
2002
An entrepreneur named Brian Alger resurrects The Pop Shoppe. Brian had grown up on The Pop Shoppe and was very keen on bringing it back, and getting into mainstream stores. Work began on formulating the same great tasting pop that the brand was known for.
2004
The re-launch begins in the summer, launching as a premium soda brand with four initial Pop Shoppe classics and made available through retail stores and many food service operations.
2005
Three more Pop Shoppe classics are added to the line-up. Marketing efforts are underway to let consumers know The Pop Shoppe is back. Watch for an original 1978 VW Van for events throughout the summer. With everything seventies being in again and the great taste of Pop Shoppe, it’s a perfect time for a revival.

I wish i could find the Green Screamers out here in Arizona. I havent been able to find Cream Ale out here for about 5 years now. I am ecstatic there is a TEDS HOT DOGS out here! Finally a place i can get Webers!
I miss Curly Q Fries - There was this place in Derby that had some of the best when i lived there.
Also (not really "buffalo" food) but i wish i could find Coffee Crisp and Aero candy bars out here.
