I'm a bigger fan of the nhl2k series. Seems more realistic and plays more fluidly and is funner to play. The ea series is too arcadey for my liking.

I just read on a gaming site that all the new rules are in the nhl2k6 series, the trapezoid area behind the net, no red line, the blue lines out farther and the net further back. Not sure about NHL2006 though.
