What the hell is that supposed to mean?
I mean, what other words do we use the " o'____" in front of, unless we are talking to leprechuans?
i realized how dumb it is today, and i will no longer say o'clock, instead giving the exact time.
Unless it is exactly, say, 5:00... in which case i will round up to 5:01 to avoid saying O'Clock ever again.

Here's something I learned the other day watching Seasame Street with my neice.
When we count, 10,11,12 are all their own numbers.
But starting at 13, its 3 plus 10. thir teen. Teen is just a weird English way of saying 10.
So, its three ten, four ten, 5 ten, and so on. That's just strange, especially when you never realized it before.
(Technically, the word teen comes from the Greek meaning ten more than. So, the teen age years should start at 10, or maybe 11.)

Isn't that "oh" ?Star Spangled Banner: the very first "word" is "O", but "O'er" is in there on 2 occasions.
"O'er the ramparts we watched..." and "O'er the land of the free..."
Jingle Bells: "O'er the fields we go..."
