Fausto Carmona was called up to Cleveland on Sunday.
Carmona,in his three starts with the Herd, went 2-0 with a 2.57 ERA and held hitters to a .235 average. In 2003,he went 17-4 with a 2.06 ERA for the Tribe's Class A Lake County Captains and was named the South Atlantic League's Pitcher of the Year,as well as the Cleveland organization's.
He'll wear #55 with the Indians.

That's funny. I got an Indians mobile alert saying they sent Carmona down to Buffalo and they activated Raf Betancourt from the Restricted list (he served a 10-game suspension). I was thinking, HTF did he get up there to begin with.
A one day stint. I'm sure he's got a lot of options left, but that still sucks. He didn't even pitch yesterday did he?

Fausto got the loss for the Herd tonight in Columbus. He was finally broken, albeit 1 run. We lost 1-0. :(

Anyone else notice Jody Gerut is now an ex-Indian? He got dealt to the Cubs for...exactly what the Tribe needs...another OF. (The name escapes me.)

Jason Dubois a "power" hitter. The last two Tribe trades I hated included ex-Bisons.

Cubs fan here coming in peace- just wanted to let you know that I was glad to see Jason (DoesBoys) DuBois leave town. I never liked the guy as a player - all he does is swing for the fences, yet he misses more often than he makes contact. He cannot field worth a lick, is a slow runner, and if you look at his OBP and AVG, you'll notice they stink too - he carries an OBP of below .300 and an AVG of below .265.
I was thrilled to get Jody Gerut for DuBois...heck, I would've traded DuBois away for a Cubs foam finger. The guy is not good and you'll see it too unfortunately...I don't know where you can even use him in Cleveland because Hafner is a great DH and you got some good OFs in Crisp and Sizemore. Maybe DoesBoys is going to be playing in Buffalo - that's the level he is successful at and quite honestly, after seeing him play for some time, I don't envision a lengthy or storied ML career.

IMO, you'll be very happy with Jody when he gets a chance to play. He's also a great guy.

On personal note for the Bisons, me and my girlfriend are planning on making a trip down to Moosic Saturday to watch the Bisons. Has anyone been to the stadium there? Just wondering what it is like. I read the quick thing the roadtrip guys have.

Former Buffalo Bison John Rodriguez just homered for the St. Louis Cardinals.

The Indians are so frustrating right now. I like Shapiro, but we really don't need another sub .250 hitter that can't put the ball in play. Right handed or lefty, if you don't advance runners, you're not useful. The official site calls it a "move for the future"... but Gerut was a rookie 2 years ago.
well, at least he's started out well (1-7)
As for the Bisons, WTH happened to Ludwick? Maybe we should send him to the Captains.

Yeah, about DuBois, why do we need a right-handed Russell Branyan?? Jody Gerut was runner-up to ROY and we got shafted this deal.

Ludwick is just starting to get his hitting back on the roadtrip. I expected him to be a little bit rusty after coming down from Cleveland seeing he only got 40 ABs there, but I did not expect him to be this bad. I just hope this is him heating up and not a quick hot streak. If not, I say on to the Captains or Scrappers.
