In 2006 EA gets all the features of ESPN presentation in their NFL product. However, with that link above, you will read a story about Madden signing on with NBC starting in 2006. I doubt people from either party would want an announcer from one network being used in a game with the presentation of another network. It appears to me that this is the last year Madden will be the namesake of the football game.
Any thoughts? Or links that may explain the future of EA football gaming that may help answer some questions?

well, there was an ESPN video game last year, with no John Madden.
This year, this is a ESPN video game with John Madden.
So maybe they don't care either way.
NBC might not like it, but then again, they might not have a choice. Madden is big enough where he could put it in his NBC contract that he gets to keep doing the game.

ive heard all along, this was possibly going to be maddens' last yr doing the EA games and now it looks more and more to be true.
the espn deal takes effect next yr, so im assuming EA will call their game ESPN football or something like EA football presented by ESPN. or seeing as EA has exclusive rights to the NFL, they could call it NFL football presented by ESPN.
something to that effect, all i know is ill miss the fat guy

i think the name of the game will just be NFL 2007... or if Madden is involved it will be Madden NFL 2007.
ESPN isn't a name you want to stick on the package of a video game.
There games never sell.

It isn't gonna be madden forever. The man could die soon.

actually, i think i read somewhere that EA was going to have their own name on the cover, when madden is no longer on the cover, and that they weren't going to use ESPN to sell their game.
basically the 2007 version is still going to feel like EA football but the presentation will more than likely be all ESPN.
remember, the company that made the gameplay for ESPN was virtual concepts, ESPN just stuck their name on it

I can't live without the Maddenism's for example " Bam...these NFL games are won and lost in the trenches" when someone breaks a run up the middle and the D gets pancaked.

Madden rules. I love how retarded his Maddenisms are. I'll tell ya, though, Lee Corso is ten times dumber in NCAA Football. Me and my buddy James love listening to him, and I remember in high school playing football and saying his stupid stuff on the field.
