View Full Version : It's happening again...DF going behind Norv Turners back to trash talk him.

Yup, that CHARACTER guy who "didn't really make those comments to the papers or SI" is doing it again. NFL beat reporter Chris Brown reported today that all the buzz in SD is DF's comments to the media about Norv Turner...yup, the SAME Norv Turner he raved about earlier this season. The O-Cooridnator who he said had made a perfect scheme/system for him and their offensive personnel. THe guy who he said he was loving playing for and who was an offensive genius. All of a sudden, it's not him or even WE anymore...it's YOU SUCK Norv...damn you for making us lose 6 in a row. LMAO! Is this guy predictable or what?

No. But you are.

Jeff.....How the Bills do this week? Who do you think we should draft? Travis Henry looked good this week, didn't he? AVP looked good again this week, didn't he? Was RJ on the sidelines this week?

Get over your love affair with hating doug.

get over your incessant need to reply to my posts TDRJ. I don't care what you have to say. When RJ was playing, you didn't want to talk about any of hte bright spots on our HORRIBLE team (which still IS horrible), but now everything's coming up roses. No, i wasn't overly impressed by AVP, other than his completion percentage, but that's something you should be able to have with the short passing WCO. I was still mad about his lack of picking up 3rd down conversions, until he FINALLY managed to do it late in the game. Travis Henry ran the ball hard and ran well. We beat the Panthers, there isn't much to say, but any chance to bash the little maggot and i'm on it.

This'll all be over Sunday and we can put any notions that Flutie was ever anything other than average (at best) behind us.

Riley has said that he wants to win the last three games and that if Flutie struggles he'll put Brees in. He'll have to, 'cause Flutie ain't gonna play well and if they want a chance at winning, Brees will HAVE TO come in!

Expect to see Brees either after the half, or just before it if S.D. gets behind by more than 13 and the O is cold, or just after it if they're down by more than 10. If Doug can keep it within 10 he won't get yanked unless all other aspects of the game are on w/ the exception of the passing game. That's been the case for most of their games however, so that is very likely, especially vs. the Raiders w/ their pass D. Game's in S.D. which is an edge for them. But they're also out of the POs, so that may keep the crowd out of the game and may even keep some fans away.

It'll be an interesting game if nothing else simply to see how Doug handles getting yanked if that happens!

i don't really care about this subject, but why does everyoone think tht brees will be so much better than flutie in there? he only played once against K.C. and their stellar defense. he's only a rookie, how quickly you forget. and how quickly you forget what doug flutie did for this organization.

There was NO bright spots when RJ was playing.

This team looks far less horrible with AVP leading them. Just imagaine if we had a real QB since you think AVP is a bum.

If AVP is a bum, whats that make RJ?

less horrible? yea, in some games (definitely not the San Fran game). Far less horrible? No. They BETTER look better. It's almost the end of the season. This is when teams should be playing their best of the season, especially young, learning teams. They should have their rookie jitters and inexperience out of the way, at least a lot of it. And as far as how quickly we forget what DF did for THIS organization. You'll have to remind me, because i don't remember him doing ANYTHING for this team/organization. I really hope you try to use the "he sold tickets" argument so i can laugh. With finals coming up this week, i really need a good laugh.

December 11th, 2001, 2:42:02 PM
why should a tema be better towards the end? by the end of the season you usually have more injuries, look at indy they are brutal. that is a cop out jeff. you know the team like AVP better, admit it. isn't that the most important thing?

jeffblue19
December 11th, 2001, 2:54:51 PM
The Jaguars HATE their coach, many teams don't like certain players. NO, liking AVP isn't the biggest issue here bduff. That's a sad assumption. lol. It's funny how this got turned into a Buffalo post. This wasn't on the Bills board, it was on the NFL board. Yet people have to start talking about RJ vs. AVP and crap like that. Teams either improve or get worse, very seldom are they completley steady. Teams start out bad and gain momentum, start out bad and barely get better, start out good and go down hill, or start out good and continue at a decent level of play. The Bills are better, as they should be. They know the systems better, the rookies that have been starting this season...ALL season...are more acquainted with the NFL. It's not a copout, it's the truth. Everyone said at the beginning of hte year, halfway through and they're still saying it now...this team should be improving. They should be better than they were the first game of the season. They are...maybe not by much, but they are. And production has nothing to do with players liking someone. The offense has produced somewhat more and definitely run more efficiently (aside from 3rd downs) with AVP in there. Hell, if i had run the WCO for 4 years, i'd know more about it than RJ too. If he gets cut, then i say we scrap the WCO. AVP is NOT, by ANY stretch of the imagination, a full-time starter and why waste time teaching a rookie to run the most extensive and complicated offense out there? If RJ doesn't get to continue to learn this system, there's no reason to waste anymore time with it...it'll only set us back more.

jeff, gimme a break about the collarbone thing. you can come over here and break my collarbone for 5 mil i don't care. they are professional athletes i can mock them and be sarcastic about them all i want, you act like he's your buddy or something. you don't think that the team supporting the other QB and not Rob is importnat? haave you ever played a team sport. if you don't like a guy you won't play hard for or with him. the tema obviously feels more confident with AVp in there. ask moulds, price or brown, are they your buddies too?:D

jeffblue19
December 11th, 2001, 3:14:56 PM
I've met all of them more than once, but no, they're not "buddies of mine." You said LIKE, not "play for." I've seen the players PLAY FOR Rob Johnson. I've seen it many times. You seem to be missing the point that the coaches, GM and I have. It's no surprise that AVP can run this offense better. Not because he's smarter, better or anything else. He has the experience. It's not a hard thing to grasp. Keep wishing for Christmas to bring you a Bills team without Rob Johnson on it...it's going to take a lot more than that to make your wish come true bduff. Your hatred of him means ABSOLUTELY nothing to the decision-making process, just like the people that support him mean ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to the process. Give me a break about the salary. That's John Butler's fault. He did it with DF too when he was here. He overpays people. But don't try to make me believe that if Johnson was getting paid less, you'd give him any more credit or time to learn than you're willing to now. You use the word OBVIOUSLY too much. Are you a Bills player? Do you hear everything that goes on over there. Better play can be attributed to experience, being comfortable with the systems, better playcalling. So, when RJ's in there...the o-line not only doesn't block for HIM because they don't like him, but htey don't block for Henry either. Wow...amazing. Dislike and lack of confidence in Rob has lead to them feeling the same way about Henry? Unbelievable.

i guess you don't read the papers or listen to the interviews on sports extra with ed kilgore. ruben brown basically says. the team feels more comfortable with AVP in there. You've met them numerous times? hahaha, i guess you must more than me. i'm sure they would remember you man. "hatred" when did i say i hate RJ i don't hate him at all, i actually liked him. but now its over man he has had too many opportunities and too many bad injuries, goodbye rob.

no, i bet they wouldn't remember me if they saw me. But they know my little brother by name and my mom and her friend have drank with Ruben on several occasions. Her friends have that Jim Kelly special edition RV. Jim stops by a lot, his brother stops by more than he does though. My little brother is friends with all the security people now and goes down for autographs and pictures after every game and they let him past the ropes. I've met the players in that sense, and also in the parking lot afterward. I've talked to Van Pelt a couple times while he was partying out there, but that was when he was fatter and still a 3rd stringer...i would never say he did that NOW. Don't you ever make an attempt to talk to the players, see what's up? I've talked to Rob and his father at least 5 times. I talked to his father when i went down to the tunnel after the game last year when he got cheered for being injured. The guy was incensed (and believe me, he did'nt have kind words to say about DF...lol). It's very interesting talking to them in person and hearing what they have to say. People think you only get that opportunity at training camp.

Now I know why Jeff loves RJ becuase he met him 5 times and actually spoke to him. It's so obvious. Rj gave you his autograph and was nice to you so you feel a need to defend him and belittle DF it's so obvious and clear to all.

I have a question what was Van Pelt doing 'partying' in the parking lot?

December 11th, 2001, 3:36:49 PM
he was one of the only guys to NOT give my little brother an autograph actually. Funny how that works, and i always thought he LOVED doing that. Oh wait, that's right, he doesn't REALLY enjoy it, he just does it for the media. The guy was a joke to me...i would've never wanted his autograph. If you've ever been down to the tunnel, i'm sure you've seen me and my little brother and sometimes my mom. My mom's friend is almost always down there too. My brohter is the little kid on the other side of the rope. He's the little devil in the wheelchair who seems to have a knack for having people do things like that for him. One of hte Bills photographers is a friend of my mom's now because of Justin (my brohter). We get these HUGE pictures from him all the time. We got a few Brett Favre ones from that game last season, we got some Peyton Manning ones. He dragged out some Dan Marino ones. They're awesome. IT's one of the reasons i still go down to the games every week. THere are some really cool people down there.

Had he met DF 5 times would he be defending him so vigorously?

jeffblue19
December 11th, 2001, 3:41:13 PM
You obviously haven't been down to the stadium huh? Jim Kelly's parents always parked their RV down there, right where AVP always partied after games. Andre Reed was there when he was still here. There were a ton of backup players that willingly partied over there. My mom's cousin actually got shut in Bruce Smith's RV. He and Thurman were in there with some other people...i'm not sure if it wsa Bruce's RV, but she was trying to get an autograph one time and she was drunk (LOL) so she just walked right up in there...and they never even noticed, until after they shut the door and sat down and were talking and they realized they didn't know her and NO ONE in there knew her. I can't believe you hvae never seen AVP or any of hte other players party over there in the parking lot. Maybe it's cuz it's RIGHT NEXT to where we park. Cuz of my lil bro, we park in the handicap lot next to GATE 1, since that's the easiest way to get to our seats. The lot where they usually are is very close to there. I"m not sure how often they're over there anymore, but it was always really cool.

jeffblue it's all coming together now, your family are way to obsessed with the bills. sneaking into cars, drinking with o-linemen. but the RJ meet and greet and seals the deal. jeff defend him becaue he saw how good looking he was in person, how was his collarbone?:D

no, i make fun of him because he has played here for four years and guys like you search as hard as you can for positive affects he has had on this team and the best you can come up with is, he was nice when you met him and his dad in the hospital, did you sign his cast?:D

Player, this is the onlyt ime i'll resond. I finally broke down and read one of your posts and you wanted to know why AVP parties in the parking lot? I don't know. A lot of players do. I explained it in an earlier post in this thread. Because of where we park, we see a lot of the players all the time. There used to be a bunch of them party over where Jim Kelly's parents park their RV. I haven't been over there in a while, so i don't know if he's STILL partying now that he's the starter, but he did his share the last years. LOL

bduff, you can't even understand simple posts. The fact that i said i met them had NOTHING to do with his contributions to this team. I wasn't even talking in those terms or in that context. Anyway, i may or may not post here anymore this week. I have to go study for finals and then im done friday. I wo'nt be posting here for about a month. Happy days for all you haters. December 11th, 2001, 4:27:16 PM
You're funny duff,

I can see how you come up w/ some of your assumptions!

"why should a tema be better towards the end? by the end of the season you usually have more injuries..."

OF COURSE that means that it's impossible for the team or a signficant portion of it to get better due to injured players returning. I won't even expound on that since how anything or circumstances than THAT being the ONLY liklihood eludes your mental grasp.

And of course, and this may confuse you as well, since it's an ENTIRELY NEW team (scheme, coach, playcalling, etc.) You REALLY have to bend your mind to even conceive that such a team may improve during and throughout the course of the year.

December 11th, 2001, 4:28:48 PM
Oh yeah, another thing that says "BIAS" written all over your face is the notion that you think that VP, other than in one single game in which the OL stepped up, has really done anything much more than average +/-, is another flag! He hasn't!

;)

December 11th, 2001, 4:37:48 PM
whatever wys, who cares about AVP he's not going to be our starter i know that. but RJ shouldn't be either, that's all i'm saying. i'm sure i said some crazy stuff on this thread, your right my original quote dosen't make that much sense, atleast i have the ball to admit it when i say something stupid. you will never do that because you think you are right about everything which your not. remember your 12-4 prediction, wow GW really had you with the superbowl talk.:)

December 11th, 2001, 5:02:08 PM
Come on there duff, you know I have!

I appreciate your fessing up, maybe you didn't read it, but I already admitted in several places that it was my fandom for the Bills that had me puttin' them down for 11-5 or 12-4.

I'll do the same thing next year, although I'll be a tad more cautious! If GW makes the right moves, ie., gets a decent OL, then I see 10-6! Of course I have a right to alter my opinion once I see what those moves are and whether or not they answer the mail IMO....

Merry Christmas to ya jeff...

Not you duff!! Nah, JK! You know I'd wish you a Merry Christmas too! I hope ya do! Geeezz! That wouldn't be very good...

:)
