That little guy just CAN'T seem to find a way to win. Once again, his turnovers cost them a chance late in the game. The last 4 drives went like THIS...

BEFORE THESE DRIVES, the Chargers were down only by ONE touchdown...

Doug Flutie INT - led to Philly punt
Doug Flutie Fumble - led to Philly FG
Punt (4 and out)
Missed FG
Last Drive - only 6 seconds on clock

...just can't win...plain and simple. It's like on the cap of your pop bottle...

"SORRY, NOT A WINNER!"

plain&simple indeed.
All he does is loose.
Good thing he never loses 3 in a row.
I don't think Emeril can make that many turnovers at key times.

I would understand the happiness over a Jets, Miami, New England or Colts loss. I don't get the whole root against SD thing. There is a fixation with hating DF, which is equally as bad as those who love the guy.

I ran into a few FFs at a local Bills bar yesterday, and while we had fun, guess what? They HATE Rob Johnson!!! Funny how that works!

As long as FFs, former FFs, or anyone else who even borders on FFism hates RJ, you're always gonna have people beatin' down Flutie just to try and make the point that he wouldn't be doing any better here b/c it's a TEAM thing and RJ's circumstances have not exactly been favorable during his tenure here.

These fans actually told me they thought that the Bills would be 9-3 right now if Flutie were our QB. I mean it's incredible.

Don't you think it's more than coincidence that EVERYONE who loves/loved Flutie, NOW absolutley HATES Rob? I do! There's very obviously a DIRECT correlation between the two.

So, and I'm not making a statement one way or the other here, but just stating the obvious, as long as people HATE RJ, that means at heart they're FFs!

It's one thing to be disappointed and possibly even angry at the staff for keeping him in there, but to hate the man RJ as these people do, is ridiculous, unfair, hateful, veangful, and still demonstrates that FFs and Flutie is STILL very much alive in Buffalo.

I'm tellin' ya, if you want those who seemingly hate Flutie to settle down, then your first mission should be to shut those who hate RJ up! THEN, and ONLY THEN will the Flutie bashing stop. It's not that people are anti-Flutie, it's that they resent the treatment that RJ's gotten while he's been here and the opposite media treatment that Doug's gotten. Ie., Doug "is a winner" for putting 13 points on the board, while "Rob's a loser for putting 33 up!" It's been TREMENDOUSLY BIASED BOTH WAYS!!!

So if you are really intent on fixing it, then I would ask you that anytime someone posts a malicious post about Rob, not simply saying "I think we should find another QB", but saying hateful things about him, demanding that the staff get rid of him, saying "he's NEVER played a good game(s)", or anything like that, you should tell them to shut up! We ALL know and are aware of the issues that surround Rob!!! ALL OF US!! There's no need to be unreasonably reminded. Not to mention that it is probably in the team's best interests, FINANCIALLY, to resign Rob to a longer incentive laden contract distributing his bonus(es) out over a few years. So the next time that you hear these people VERY hatefully saying that "even if it means kicking ourselves in the nuts, we need to get rid of Rob", you should just tell them to shut up!

IF, and WHEN, that happens, you'll see the anti-Flutie stuff stop!

But let me ask you this: Why does it bother you so much?

IT SHOULDN'T!!! It only suggests that you liked the littleman, and I don't mean as a person, but as a player and therefore believed in this "magic" stuff, and that "he only wins" crap!

Well he doesn't just "only win" anymore! Now he "ONLY LOSES" apparently!! Because that's ALL he's done in 6 games, at least 4 of which were very winnable! He's dropped 8 of his last 10 after a 3-0 start against 3 of the weakest teams in the league!

In short:

"There is a fixation with hating DF, which is equally as bad as those who love the guy."

There is ALSO an equal and opposite fixation on HATING RJ, who IS our QB, not in the past, but NOW!

There's a direct correlation between the two! It upsets me that people seem to be more concerned over the hatred for a QB who's doing nothing elsewhere, yet who don't seem concerned an iota for the same exact HATE for the CURRENT QB of the Bills!

I wasn't going to make my usual "Flutie post" this week, but this prompted me to do so! ;)

i don't think people hate RJ because they love flutie. i think they hate RJ because he as an overpaid bust. i know i don't hate RJ i like the guy he plays hard but he sucks and i don't think he just sucks because of our o-line, he has had very little suport in that department. i still feel that if we put a good o-lne in front of him he would only be average. just my opinion.;)

"In short:" Gotta love when you start that way.

I agree totally with what you say here. But, it looks bad to bash DF. It brings you down to the RJ haters level. I wouldn't mind if we had a better record.
